There have indeed been cases of mobile toilets being stolen, with relevant reports available.

Case One: Mobile Toilet Theft in Hefei City

In Hefei City, there was a case of a mobile toilet being stolen. According to reports, on the evening of August 29, a brand-new, unused two-person mobile toilet worth over 5,000 yuan, placed outside Mr. Jiang's door, was stolen. The toilet weighed several hundred pounds and was about 2 meters tall, made to order for a client and ready for delivery. The suspect, Mr. Xia, due to the large number of people in his family and the inconvenience of using the toilet, conspired with two others to commit the theft in the dead of night on the day of the incident, using a three-wheeled vehicle to transport the toilet home for the elderly to use. On September 1, the police found the stolen toilet at Mr. Xia's doorstep, and Mr. Xia was taken into custody. The case is under further investigation. This case indicates that mobile toilets, due to their certain value and convenience of use, may become targets for lawbreakers.

Case Two: Mobile Toilet Theft in Gomel, Belarus

In Gomel, Belarus, there was also a case of a mobile toilet being stolen, and the situation was even more unusual. On June 8, a group of unidentified individuals drove a tractor and stole a mobile toilet beside a bus stop in broad daylight. In their haste, they even took a 45-year-old man who was using the toilet at the time along with it. A few minutes later, due to the bumpy road, the rope loosened, and the man was able to escape. The man reported the case the next day, and the police found the stolen toilet in a residential area a few days later, but the thieves were nowhere to be found. This case not only demonstrates the possibility of mobile toilets being stolen but also reveals the serious consequences that theft can bring, including threats to the personal safety of others.

Summary and Prevention Recommendations

Although mobile toilet theft incidents are not common, they do have the potential to occur. To prevent such incidents, it is recommended that relevant units and individuals strengthen supervision and protection measures for mobile toilets, such as installing surveillance equipment and increasing patrols. At the same time, for any theft discovered, the police should be notified promptly, and cooperation should be provided for the investigation and handling of the case.
