Mobile Toilet Theft
There have indeed been multiple reported cases of mobile toilet theft.

Firstly, several mobile toilet theft incidents occurred in Yaohai District, Hefei, Anhui. On the evening of August 29, the Daxing Police Station received a report that a mobile toilet placed near the intersection of Tianmen Mountain Road and Longgang Road had been stolen. The police recovered it at the doorstep of a woman named Xia. Xia claimed that due to the large number of people in her household and the inconvenience of using the toilet, she conspired with two others to steal the mobile toilet. When the police arrived, she denied any wrongdoing. In another similar incident, the movable public sanitation facility at the same intersection suddenly disappeared. After investigation, the police found the toilet at Xia's doorstep. Xia admitted to stealing the mobile toilet but tried to shift the blame by claiming she thought it was old and unused by others, putting the responsibility on an elderly man at the door. In yet another case, a mobile toilet placed near a local intersection disappeared. This toilet had been made by the reporter Jiang and was ready to be delivered to a client. The police discovered that several suspects had used a tricycle to commit the crime. Even after being spotted by security guards, they continued and managed to move the toilet onto the tricycle before fleeing. The police found the hidden mobile toilet at the bottom of a building in a residential area and apprehended the suspect Xia. Xia stated that due to the large number of people in her household, it was inconvenient to use the toilet in the morning, and with elderly family members taking a long time in the toilet, she targeted the mobile toilet. She recruited two accomplices and a tricycle to move it, intending to use it exclusively for the elderly.
In addition, a rather bizarre mobile toilet theft occurred in the Gomel region of Belarus, Russia. A group of thieves loaded a mobile toilet beside a bus stop onto a tractor. During the theft, they also took a 45-year-old man who was using the toilet at the time. The man later jumped off the tractor and broke his neck. The police found the stolen toilet at a resident's home in a nearby residential area.
These cases demonstrate that mobile toilet theft is not an isolated incident. Thieves often act out of self-interest, such as seeking personal convenience, disregarding laws and regulations. Such behavior not only damages public property but may also harm others and should be subject to legal sanctions.
