Mobile Toilet Squat Type Occupied Status

Admin 10 de octubre de 2026

When someone is using the squat toilet in a mobile toilet, the occupied/unoccupied indicator on the toilet stall will display red. Here are the specific principles and details:

Correspondence between Indicator Color and Status

In smart public toilet management systems, to alleviate queuing, occupied/unoccupied indicators are installed on toilet stalls to indicate whether they are "occupied" or "unoccupied". A green display indicates that the stall is unoccupied, while a red display indicates that someone is using it. This color-coding method is intuitive and clear, allowing users to quickly understand the usage status of toilet stalls, reducing the time spent searching for available stalls, and improving the efficiency of public toilet usage.

Working Principles of the Indicator

  • Door Lock Control Method: The status of the occupied/unoccupied indicator is controlled by the door locks of each toilet stall. When the toilet is unoccupied, the door is open, and the display shows green, indicating that the stall is available for use. When someone enters the toilet and locks the door, the door lock triggers a corresponding signal, causing the display to switch to red, alerting other users that the stall is occupied.
  • Infrared Sensor Detection Method: In addition to door lock control, there are also devices that use infrared sensors to detect the occupied/unoccupied status of toilet stalls. Infrared sensors can detect the infrared radiation emitted by the human body. When someone enters the stall, the sensor detects changes in the infrared radiation and transmits the signal to the control system, which then controls the indicator to switch to red. When the person leaves the stall, the sensor no longer detects infrared radiation, and the indicator reverts to green.

Practical Application Significance

The application of these occupied/unoccupied indicators not only facilitates users but also provides convenience for public toilet management. Managers can observe the status of the indicators to promptly understand the usage of public toilets, arrange cleaning and maintenance work accordingly, and improve the management level and service quality of public toilets.
