Mobile Toilet Size Design Specification

Admin 12 de octubre de 2026

The mobile toilet size design specification mainly includes two aspects: the overall external dimensions and the dimensions and layout of the internal functional areas.

Overall external dimensions:
For common single-stall specifications, the length typically ranges from 1.2 meters to 1.5 meters, the width from 1.0 meter to 1.2 meters, and the height generally from 2.2 meters to 2.5 meters. This size design not only meets the needs of single-person use but also facilitates transportation and installation. Combined multi-stall specifications are adjusted according to the increase in the number of users. For example, a two-stall unit may have a length ranging from 2.4 meters to 3.0 meters, while the width remains at 1.0 meter to 1.2 meters. Larger box-type mobile public toilets can have lengths exceeding 6 meters and widths exceeding 2.5 meters to accommodate high-traffic scenarios. Height design needs to consider multiple factors: the internal clear height should ensure that users do not feel oppressed, typically not less than 2.2 meters; the roof structure should have sufficient strength to bear the weight of snow, especially in northern regions; if ventilation and exhaust equipment need to be installed, space for the equipment should be reserved; during transportation, it should comply with road height restrictions, and some models have a slight slope on the roof to facilitate drainage and prevent structural damage caused by water accumulation.

Dimensions and layout of internal functional areas:
The basic dimensions of the toilet area should meet ergonomic requirements. The clear width should generally not be less than 0.85 meters, ideally reaching 0.9 meters to 1.0 meter, to ensure sufficient activity space for users; the clear depth should be guaranteed to be between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters to facilitate the placement of toilets and auxiliary facilities. The design of the door should balance ease of opening and space occupation. It is usually opened inward or outward with a width of not less than 0.6 meters to avoid inconvenience caused by a narrow door leaf. Accessible toilet stalls should meet the needs of wheelchair passage. The internal clear width should generally reach more than 1.5 meters, and the clear depth should reach more than 1.8 meters to allow wheelchairs to easily enter and complete a 180-degree rotation inside; the floor should be flat and obstacle-free, and the door leaf should not occupy the passage space when opened to ensure independent use by disabled individuals.
