Mobile Toilet Size Customization

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

The size of mobile toilets can be customized according to actual needs, with common specifications covering a variety of combinations. The specific size needs to be determined in combination with functional zoning and layout design. Here are the size customization plans and key parameter descriptions for different scenarios:

1. Basic Functional Sizes
The size design of conventional mobile toilets primarily meets basic usage requirements, with common specifications including:

  • Single Toilet Compartment: The standard size is 1.2 meters (width) × 1.4 meters (depth), which can accommodate one squat toilet or sit toilet, with 0.6-0.8 meters of activity space reserved inside, suitable for scenarios with low pedestrian density.
  • Management Room: The size is usually 2 meters × 2 meters, used for storing cleaning tools, consumables, and for management personnel to rest. It needs to be equipped with ventilation and lighting systems.
  • Handwashing Area: If set up separately, the area is recommended to be no less than 1.5 meters × 1 meter, needing to accommodate a sink, mirror, and hand-drying equipment. Some designs integrate it into the toilet compartment or management room.

2. Multi-Toilet Combination Sizes
For high-traffic scenarios, mobile toilets can achieve functional expansion through modular assembly:

  • 4 Squat Toilets + Handwashing Area: The overall length can reach 6 meters, with a width of approximately 2.2-2.5 meters, adopting a linear or L-shaped layout, with each toilet compartment independently separated and the handwashing area centrally located at the entrance or end.
  • 2+2 Layout (e.g., Beijing Garden Scenic Area case): Includes 2 independent squat toilets, 1 management room, and 1 third toilet, with a total size of 6 meters (length) × 2.2 meters (width), achieving maximum functionality through reasonable zoning.
  • Conventional Combination Sizes: Common specifications on the market include 1.06 meters × 1.07 meters × 2.5 meters (single toilet compartment), 1.2 meters × 1.7 meters × 2.5 meters (toilet compartment with sink), 1.16 meters × 1.4 meters × 2.9 meters (elevated design), which can be flexibly selected according to needs.

3. Special Requirement Customization Sizes

  • Third Toilet (Barrier-Free Toilet): The size needs to meet the wheelchair turning requirements, with a standard of 2 meters × 2 meters, internally equipped with handrails, emergency call devices, and low-position sinks, with a door width of no less than 0.9 meters.
  • Irregular or Compact Design: For space-constrained scenarios (e.g., mountainous areas, temporary events), non-standard sizes can be customized, such as a 1 meter × 1 meter micro toilet compartment, or by using a folding structure to reduce transportation volume.
  • Luxury Mobile Toilet: When adding equipment such as air conditioners, fresh air systems, and smart toilets, the area of a single toilet compartment needs to be expanded to 1.5 meters × 1.8 meters or more, with space reserved for equipment maintenance.

Key Points for Customization: Size design needs to comprehensively consider the number of users, functional requirements, transportation limitations, and site conditions. It is recommended to communicate the layout plan with the manufacturer in advance to ensure compliance with the "Urban Public Toilet Design Standard" (CJJ14-2016) and local regulations.
