How to Treat Sewage from Mobile Toilets

Admin 01 de octubre de 2026

There are various methods for treating sewage from mobile toilets, and the appropriate method should be selected based on the actual scenario and requirements. Common methods are as follows:

Direct Discharge Type

Suitable for places with municipal sewage pipelines and relatively close proximity, such as urban streets and parks. These areas have a well-established sewage collection and treatment system. The sewage generated by mobile toilets can be directly connected to the municipal sewage pipeline through pipes. After entering the pipeline, the sewage is transported to the urban sewage treatment plant, where it undergoes a series of professional treatment processes, such as sedimentation, filtration, and biological treatment, before finally meeting the discharge standards and being discharged or reused. The advantage of this method is its high treatment efficiency, as it does not require the mobile toilet itself to be equipped with complex sewage treatment equipment, reducing construction and operating costs.

Conventional Water-flushing Type

Requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes, with sewage being discharged either to a septic tank or the municipal pipeline through manual or automatic sensing. It is widely used in places with a water supply environment and certain requirements for construction costs, such as schools and areas around shopping malls. When discharged into a septic tank, the sewage undergoes preliminary sedimentation and fermentation decomposition in the tank, reducing the organic matter content and the burden on subsequent treatment processes. If directly discharged into the municipal pipeline, it is similar to the direct discharge type and enters the urban sewage treatment system for centralized treatment.

Vacuum Sewage Discharge System

Utilizes the principle of negative pressure to suck sewage and waste into a collection container through a vacuum pump. When the sewage in the public toilet reaches a preset water level, the vacuum pump automatically starts and quickly sucks the sewage and waste into the collection container. This method is highly efficient, uses very little water, and effectively prevents sewage leakage and odor diffusion. It is suitable for places with high environmental requirements and limited water supply, such as high-end office buildings and airports.

Microbial Degradation Type

Uses microbial communities to decompose feces into water, carbon dioxide, and a small amount of residue. It is suitable for places where water supply is inconvenient to access and have high environmental requirements, such as scenic spots and野外作业场地 (field operation sites). Microorganisms continuously reproduce and metabolize in a suitable environment, continuously decomposing the organic matter in feces to achieve on-site sewage treatment, reducing dependence on external sewage treatment facilities, and the treatment process is environmentally friendly and pollution-free.
