Mobile Toilet Septic Tank Size

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

There is no unified standard for the size of mobile toilet septic tanks (cesspools), which need to be adjusted according to the number of users, frequency of use, and cleaning cycle. Common specifications are as follows:

Small cesspools: Suitable for scenarios with extremely low foot traffic, such as single-person public toilets in scenic spots or rural areas. Common capacities and external dimensions include: 0.5 cubic meters (780mm×1280mm), 0.8 cubic meters (880mm×1534mm), 1 cubic meter (900mm×1640mm), 1.5 cubic meters (1100mm×1700mm), and 2 cubic meters (1200mm×1900mm). These cesspools are compact in size, suitable for places with limited space or low usage frequency, but require a shortened cleaning cycle to prevent overflow.

Medium and large cesspools: Suitable for scenarios with a relatively high average daily number of users, such as community public toilets or urban street-side public toilets. Common capacities and dimensions include: 4 cubic meters (approximately 5280mm×1690mm×1900mm), 6 cubic meters (approximately 5230mm×1940mm×2100mm), 9 cubic meters (approximately 6470mm×2440mm×2100mm), and 12 cubic meters (approximately 6470mm×2440mm×2600mm). These cesspools have a large capacity, reducing the frequency of cleaning, but require sufficient installation space and ensure structural stability.

Large cesspools: Used in places with extremely high traffic, such as stations, business districts, or transportation hubs. The volume can reach 40 cubic meters, 50 cubic meters, 75 cubic meters, and 100 cubic meters, with specific dimensions adjusted according to the design plan. These cesspools usually adopt modular design or customized production to meet high-load usage requirements, and are equipped with professional cleaning equipment.

Special-specification cesspools: Include irregular structures such as octagonal and horizontal circular shapes. For example, an octagonal cesspool has an inner diameter of 2m, an outer diameter of 2.3m, and a height of 3m; horizontal circular steel molds are available in various capacities such as 6 cubic meters, 20 cubic meters, 25 cubic meters, and 30 cubic meters. These cesspools are mostly used in specific terrains or functional requirements, such as scenarios with limited underground space or requiring concealed installation.

In practical applications, the size of the cesspool should be selected based on the usage scenario, budget, and maintenance conditions. For precise dimensions, it is recommended to consult professional designers and comprehensively consider factors such as fecal production, cleaning cycle, installation space, and environmental protection requirements to ensure a balance between functionality and cost-effectiveness of the cesspool.
