Mobile Toilet Septic Tank Interface Standard
Admin 13 de octubre de 2026
The mobile toilet septic tank interface standard mainly involves the size of the sewage outlet and installation requirements, as detailed below:

Sewage Outlet Size
There is no unified fixed standard for the size of the sewage outlet in mobile toilets. The common diameter range is between 100 millimeters and 150 millimeters. The specific choice depends on the type and scale of the mobile toilet:
- Small and simple mobile toilets: Usually adopt a sewage outlet with a diameter of 100 millimeters, suitable for scenarios with limited space or low usage frequency.
- Well-equipped mobile toilets: The diameter of the sewage outlet may reach 150 millimeters to meet higher drainage demands and prevent blockages.
Installation Requirements
Preliminary Preparations
- Location Selection: Ensure that the installation area has a relatively high terrain and smooth drainage to avoid water accumulation or backflow. It is recommended to keep the distance between the sewage outlet and the main body of the mobile toilet at about 1.5 meters for easy pipe connection and maintenance.
- Tools and Materials: Prepare tools such as shovels, tape measures, and wrenches, and ensure that accessories like PVC pipes, elbows, and sealing rings match the specifications of the sewage outlet. Communicate with the property management in advance about the surrounding environment to avoid damaging underground pipelines or affecting public facilities.
Septic Tank Excavation and Positioning
- Excavation Size: Determine the size of the septic tank according to the model of the mobile toilet. Generally, the excavation depth is about 1.2 meters, and the diameter is 20 centimeters larger than the main body of the septic tank to reserve space for subsequent construction and backfilling.
- Foundation Treatment: Lay a 10-centimeter-thick gravel cushion at the bottom and compact it to ensure the stable placement of the septic tank. Use a level to calibrate the height of the inlet and outlet so that they are at the same height as the ground pipes to avoid poor drainage or backflow.
Pipe Connection and Installation Process
- Sealing Treatment: Align the PVC pipe with the inlet and outlet of the septic tank, seal the interface with a sealing ring, and then fix it with special glue to prevent leakage.
- Anti-backflow Design: Install an anti-backflow valve at the pipe connection to effectively prevent odors and sewage from flowing back, enhancing the user experience.
- Pipe Fixing: Fix the pipe direction with concrete or bricks to prevent displacement or damage due to stepping or external forces.
Backfilling and Commissioning
- Layered Backfilling: First, backfill gravel to a position 5 centimeters above the pipe, and then compact it layer by layer with yellow soil to avoid settlement of the septic tank or pipes due to improper backfilling.
- Function Testing: Open the inlet valve and observe whether the drainage is smooth and check for any leakage at the interfaces. Before the first use, empty the impurities in the tank to prevent blockages during initial use.
