How to Choose a Mobile Toilet

Admin 08 de octubre de 2026

Choosing a mobile toilet requires a comprehensive consideration of four core elements: usage scenario, material and craftsmanship, internal configuration, and sewage disposal method. Here are the specific selection methods:

1. Match the toilet type according to the usage scenario
Different scenarios have significantly different functional requirements for mobile toilets. For construction sites or short-term events, it is recommended to choose a simple steel-structured toilet, which is sturdy, easy to assemble and disassemble, can be quickly deployed, and is suitable for high-intensity use. Scenic spots or parks are suitable for prefabricated landscape toilets, which have a simple appearance and good sealing performance, and can blend with the natural environment. For sites without a pipeline network (such as remote mountainous areas or wilderness campsites), priority should be given to pipeline-free ecological toilets, which use microbial degradation or packaged sewage disposal designs, do not require connection to the municipal pipeline network, and have low maintenance costs. For large-scale events (such as music festivals or sports events), it is recommended to use multi-compartment mobile public toilets, which increase the number of squatting positions to improve turnover efficiency and avoid queuing congestion.

2. Focus on examining material and craftsmanship
The main frame should be made of a hot-dip galvanized square steel welded structure, which has better wind, sun, and corrosion resistance than ordinary steel and has a service life of more than 10 years. The exterior wall panels should be selected according to the scenario: for municipal or scenic spot scenarios, metal carved panels are recommended, which have fire, moisture, and sound insulation properties; for short-term use on construction sites, color steel panels can be chosen, which are low-cost and easy to transport; for gardens or cultural and tourism scenic spots, landscape modeling panels are suggested, which enhance aesthetics through imitation wood grain or stone textures.

3. Pay attention to the rationality of internal configuration
Basic configurations should include non-slip floors (to avoid slipping due to water accumulation), odor-proof sanitary ware (such as sealed squatting toilets or urinals), forced ventilation equipment (such as exhaust fans or fresh air systems), energy-saving lighting (LED light strips or sensor lights), privacy door locks (to ensure safety during use), and storage hooks (for convenient placement of items). For sealing craftsmanship, it is essential to check whether rubber strips are used to seal the joints between the door frame and the wall. For odor-proof design, it is necessary to confirm whether the floor drain is equipped with a water seal device to prevent backflow of odors and mosquito breeding.

4. Choose the sewage disposal method according to the site conditions
If the site is close to the municipal pipeline network, priority should be given to choosing a direct-discharge mobile toilet, which is connected directly to the septic tank through pipelines and has high treatment efficiency. For sites without a pipeline network, packaged or microbial degradation toilets should be selected. The former collects excrement in replaceable plastic bags, while the latter uses microorganisms to decompose organic matter, both of which do not require external discharge. In cold regions, it is recommended to choose a foam-sealed toilet, which covers the surface of the excrement with foaming liquid to prevent freezing and suppress odors. Before selection, it is necessary to confirm whether the site slope meets the sewage disposal requirements (a slope of ≥2% is required for direct-discharge toilets) to avoid sewage backflow.
