Mobile Toilet Project

Admin 20 de septiembre de 2026

The mobile toilet project is a systematic endeavor that encompasses the entire process of design, research and development, production, installation, and application. It aims to meet the toilet needs in temporary or specific scenarios through modular and movable sanitation facilities.

Composition and Design Principles of Mobile Toilets

The core components of mobile toilets include fecal sewage storage tanks (or disposal devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices, among others. Three major principles should be followed during the design process:

  1. Mobility and Cost-Effectiveness: The overall structure should be lightweight and sturdy, with priority given to lightweight and durable materials (such as aluminum alloy and fiberglass-reinforced plastic). The height and width should be controlled to meet transportation requirements. The mobile devices (such as wheels and towing structures) should be complete and reasonable to ensure rapid deployment and transfer.
  2. Environmental Protection and Ecology: Resource consumption and pollution emissions should be reduced through water-saving technologies (such as micro-flushing and foam sealing) and sewage treatment technologies (such as microbial degradation and vacuum suction). Some models are equipped with solar panels or rainwater collection systems to achieve energy self-sufficiency.
  3. Humanization and High Efficiency: The internal layout should conform to ergonomics, providing barrier-free facilities (such as handrails and low-position toilets) and optimizing ventilation and lighting design to enhance the user experience.

Classification and Technical Characteristics

Mobile toilets can be classified into multiple categories based on their structure, mobility, sewage treatment methods, and usage scenarios:

  • Structural Forms: Single-unit structures (independent units) are suitable for small-scale scenarios, while composite structures (multi-unit combinations) can meet high-traffic demands. 3D printing technology enables customized and rapid construction.
  • Mobility Methods: Hoisting-type mobile toilets rely on lifting equipment, while handling-type ones require manual or small mechanical assistance. Power-towed types are moved over long distances by vehicle traction.
  • Sewage Treatment: Water-flushing types rely on water supply and drainage systems, while waterless types (such as dry packing and microbial degradation) are suitable for water-scarce environments. Recirculating water-flushing types achieve water reuse through filtration and disinfection.
  • Usage Scenarios: Urban modern types focus on the integration of appearance and functionality, landscape types emphasize harmony with the natural environment, and star-rated standard types are equipped with intelligent devices (such as automatic flushing and air purification).

Application Scenarios and Typical Cases

Mobile toilets are widely deployed in stations, docks, tourist attractions, large construction sites, and other places, especially in areas where fixed public toilets are insufficient. For example, Shanghai Huajie's solar-powered environmental protection toilets once served the Olympic torch relay on Mount Everest, with its negative-pressure drainage technology reducing water consumption by 90%. Shanghai Weize provided temporary rental services for marathon events, deploying over 200 units for a single event. Self-made mobile toilets by individuals achieve basic functions through simple materials such as water storage tanks and universal wheels, demonstrating low-cost flexibility.
