What are the problems with mobile toilets

Admin 06 de octubre de 2026

Mobile toilets have issues such as inconvenient user experience, hygiene and health problems, high costs and expenses, environmental impacts, and difficulty in protecting privacy during use.

Inconvenient user experience: Restricted by design, mobile toilets usually have relatively narrow spaces, which are uncomfortable for users who need to use them for extended periods. In areas with complex terrain or limited space, their deployment and use face numerous difficulties. Moreover, the connection between mobile toilets and the ground is not tight enough, making them prone to shaking or even tipping over. This not only makes it difficult for users to clean various parts of their bodies but also significantly increases the difficulty of use for obese people or those with lower limb mobility issues.

Hygiene and health problems: Mobile toilets lack infrastructure such as fixed drainage systems and water supplies, making cleaning and maintenance difficult and frequent. Due to their small volume, if not cleaned promptly, they can generate hygiene issues such as odors and bacteria, seriously affecting the public's user experience and even potentially causing epidemic risks. In addition, if water facilities are left idle or unused for a long time, technical problems such as pipe ruptures and leaks may occur.

High costs and expenses: The construction and use costs of mobile toilets are relatively high, making it difficult to promote them in areas with limited economic conditions. For maintenance parties, significant investments are required in terms of labor costs, cleaning costs, transportation costs, etc., and repair costs are also relatively high. This is because different components, such as sewage disposal, water supply, and electricity, all require independent supply systems to be designed, making repairs more complex.

Environmental impacts: In the absence of effective management, mobile toilets may cause environmental pollution, such as sewage leakage, which has adverse effects on the surrounding environment.

Difficulty in protecting privacy: Mobile toilets have small spaces and usually cannot provide sufficient private space for users, making them vulnerable to being peeked at by others. At the same time, since cleaning work needs to be carried out at any time, users may inadvertently come into contact with cleaners inside, causing psychological distress to both parties.
