Mobile Toilet Outdoor Installation Guide

Admin 08 de octubre de 2026

The outdoor installation of mobile toilets should be carried out in accordance with the four stages of preliminary preparation, transportation and unloading, installation and commissioning, and use and maintenance. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Preliminary Preparation

  1. Site Selection Requirements: Give priority to areas with flat terrain and convenient drainage, avoiding low-lying areas prone to water accumulation or soft ground. Keep away from sensitive areas such as water source protection zones and residential areas to ensure harmony with the surrounding environment.
  2. Site Inspection: Confirm that the ground is solid and free of obstacles. If it is sandy or muddy ground, lay wooden planks or crushed stones for reinforcement. Measure the site dimensions to ensure that the width of the access passage for the mobile toilet is ≥1.5 meters.
  3. Procedure Handling: For installation in public places or scenic spots, apply for a temporary facility permit from the local urban management and environmental protection departments in advance to avoid the risk of violations.
  4. Tool Preparation: After receiving the goods, prepare tools such as an electric drill (with a 4.2-millimeter drill bit), a rivet gun, expansion screws, a level, and a wrench, and check the completeness of the accessories.

II. Transportation and Unloading

  1. Transportation Specifications: Use a dedicated flatbed truck for transportation. Bind the toilet box to the vehicle with ropes or fixing brackets to prevent structural deformation caused by shaking during transportation.
  2. Unloading Points: After arriving at the site, first confirm the ground bearing capacity (≥3 tons per square meter) and use a forklift to unload slowly. When handling manually, 4-6 people should work together to avoid tilting and bumping of the box.
  3. Position Adjustment: Use a level to calibrate the levelness of the toilet and fine-tune it to maintain a distance of 0.5-1 meter from the surrounding roads and green belts for the convenience of personnel use and maintenance.

III. Installation and Commissioning

  1. Foundation Fixing: Drill holes (depth ≥ 8 centimeters) at the four corners of the toilet, insert and tighten the expansion screws. For soft soil foundations, add counterweights (≥50 kilograms per corner) at the bottom of the box.
  2. Component Assembly: For toilets with a snap-fit structure, assemble them in the order of 'inner corners - side panels - top panels'. Align the slots, drill holes (spacing 20 centimeters), insert rivets, and fix them with a rivet gun.
  3. Drainage Connection: Select the drainage method according to the site conditions:
    • Direct Drainage: Connect a PVC drainage pipe (diameter ≥ 110 millimeters) to the municipal sewer with a slope ≥ 2%.
    • Sewage Collection: Seal the outlet of the fecal tank with a sewage collection bucket and clean it regularly (every 2-3 days).
  4. Water and Electricity Testing: Connect a 220V temporary power supply and check whether the lighting and flushing systems are working properly. For environmentally friendly toilets, confirm the fecal tank capacity (usually ≥ 200 liters) and the operating status of the deodorization device.
  5. Detail Inspection: Test the smoothness of the door lock opening and closing, the air volume of the ventilation system (≥0.15m³/s), and replenish consumables such as toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

IV. Use and Maintenance

  1. Daily Cleaning: Clean the toilet bowl and floor stains daily and disinfect once a week. Regularly check the flushing valve and water tank level, and replace damaged parts in a timely manner.
  2. Emergency Handling: Equip with spare toilet paper and disinfectant and post the fault repair hotline. In case of an electrical circuit fault, immediately cut off the power supply and contact professional personnel for repair.
