Mobile Toilet Old House Renovation
Admin 02 de octubre de 2026
The renovation of mobile toilets in old houses should systematically address issues such as waterproofing, pipeline adaptation, and ventilation while controlling costs and avoiding damage to the main structure. The specific plan is as follows:

I. Pre-renovation Preparation: Comprehensive Inspection and Parameter Verification
- Structural Parameter Verification: Measure the thickness of the厢体 (container body) wall panels, the distribution of internal load-bearing joists, and the flatness of the ground base to ensure that the renovation does not damage the load-bearing structure. For example, if the wall panels are too thin (e.g., <3mm), avoid drilling holes or hanging heavy objects; if the ground base has a height difference of more than 5mm, level it in advance.
- Usage Requirement Analysis: Adjust the renovation focus according to the scenario. Construction sites require wear-resistant and easy-to-clean non-slip floor tiles; tourist attractions need to balance aesthetics and passenger flow capacity, and can choose flooring materials with a stone-like texture; northern regions need to check for frost heave risks, prioritize the use of low-temperature-resistant pipes (such as PPR pipes), and add insulation layers.
- Existing Fault Inspection: Focus on checking the locations of damaged waterproof layers (such as corners and pipe roots), pipeline blockages and corrosion (e.g., if the inner diameter of the drainage pipe is reduced by more than 30%, it needs to be replaced), and the damage rate of sanitary ware (e.g., if the toilet tank leaks, the sealing parts need to be replaced or the entire toilet needs to be replaced).
II. Core Renovation Modules: Waterproofing and Ground System Upgrade
- Base Layer Treatment: Remove damaged sanitary ware and aged flooring materials from the original ground to the base container panel layer, and clean debris from cracks. Fill and seal cracks in the container panels with single-component polyurethane sealant to ensure tightness; paste a 15-centimeter-wide polyester cloth at the joint between the wall panel and the ground as an anti-crack reinforcement layer to prevent later cracking.
- Waterproof Layer Application: Apply a 2-millimeter-thick hand-applied polyurea waterproof coating overall. The waterproof layer on the shower area walls should be extended upward by 1.8 meters (0.3 meters for non-shower areas). Polyurea coating has strong weather resistance and can effectively resist aging in humid environments.
- Water Closure Test and Flooring Installation: After the waterproof layer is dry, conduct a 24-hour water closure test to observe whether there is water leakage in the lower floor or adjacent areas. After confirming no leakage, lay non-slip floor tiles or PVC rolls, and note that the joints of the floor tiles should be treated with waterproof grout.
III. Toilet Relocation Plan Selection
- Same-floor Drainage (Sunken Bathroom): The pipes can be directly lengthened or shortened for relocation without damaging the floor slab, and the construction cost is relatively low.
- Inter-floor Drainage:
- Relocator: Suitable for short-distance relocation (recommended not to exceed 2 meters). A drainage slope (slope ≥ 2%) needs to be made to ensure smooth drainage.
- Floor Drain to Wall Drain Conversion: The toilet can only be relocated to the adjacent wall of the sewage riser, and the pipeline route of the wall drain needs to be planned in advance.
- Sewage Pipe Relocation to the Neighbor's House: Requires the neighbor's consent and coordinated construction. It is suitable for long-distance relocation but has a relatively high cost.
