Mobile Toilet Material Description

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

Mobile toilets come in a variety of materials, each with distinct characteristics and application scenarios, as detailed below:

Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP): Made from a composite of epoxy resin and glass fibers or glass fiber and resin, it features a smooth, flat surface, is rust-proof, corrosion-resistant, durable, lightweight for easy transportation and installation, has good thermal insulation, and is easy to clean. However, it has relatively low strength and may develop cracks or break under strong impact, requiring regular inspection and maintenance. It is commonly used in emergency scenarios such as temporary large gatherings, construction sites, and natural disasters.

Metal Materials:

  • Aluminum Alloy: A mainstream material for the framework and structure of mobile toilets, it is lightweight (with a density only one-third that of steel), highly corrosion-resistant, and can be surface-treated with oxidation or fluorocarbon coating for excellent rust prevention and easy processing. In typical applications, aluminum alloy weight is controlled at 3 - 5kg/m², ensuring structural strength without adding excessive weight, making it suitable for toilets that need frequent relocation or are exposed to humid environments for long periods.
  • Stainless Steel: Primarily used for hardware components inside the toilet (such as water tanks, pipes), door hinges, and some exterior finishes, it is extremely corrosion-resistant, suitable for coastal, high-humidity, or chemically corrosive environments, and has a surface that is easy to disinfect, ensuring good hygiene. However, it is more costly (about 1.5 - 2 times that of aluminum alloy), difficult to process, generally used for small-area components, and has high thermal conductivity, which can cause rapid changes in internal temperature in hot or cold weather, affecting user comfort.

Plastic/Composite Materials:

  • PVC Board: Commonly used for interior partitions, wall panels, and ceiling panels in toilets, it is waterproof, moisture-proof, easy to clean, and can have patterns printed on its surface to enhance aesthetics. With a density of about 1.4 - 1.6g/cm³, it is lightweight and low-cost (about 50 - 150 yuan per square meter), suitable for large-scale applications, but products must meet environmental standards (such as RoHS).
  • High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Board: Features high strength, impact resistance, and UV resistance, commonly used for the bottom and exterior finishes of toilets, priced at about 200 - 500 yuan per square meter.

Wooden Materials:

  • Preservative-Treated Wood: After pressure treatment, it can be used for interior decoration or exterior framework of toilets, offering a natural texture and easy processing. However, it requires regular application of preservative coatings and may deform in high-humidity environments. It is generally used in scenic spots, homestays, and other scenarios with high aesthetic requirements but is not recommended as a structural material.
  • Eco-Wood: Made from a composite of wood powder and plastic, it combines the appearance of wood with the durability of plastic, offering better waterproof and insect-resistant properties than natural wood. However, it has poor heat resistance and should be avoided from prolonged exposure to sunlight. It is priced at about 1.2 - 1.5 times that of preservative-treated wood, suitable for scenarios that pursue a natural style but have a limited budget.

Other Materials:

  • Rock Wool Sandwich Panel: Used for toilet ceilings or partition walls, filled with rock wool (density ≥80kg/m³), it effectively provides sound insulation, thermal insulation, and has a fire rating of Class A, suitable for areas with high occupancy.
  • Composite or New Materials: Such as fiber-reinforced plastics or hybrid materials, they typically integrate multiple advantages, such as high durability and good environmental adaptability, offering greater flexibility in design and function. However, they have higher costs and technical requirements and should be selected based on specific needs.
