How to Deal with Leakage in Mobile Toilets

Admin 07 de octubre de 2026

To address leakage in mobile toilets, first identify the cause and then take targeted measures. Common causes and solutions are as follows:

I. Drainage System Issues

  1. Blocked Drain Pipes Use pipe-clearing tools (such as spring-type drain snakes) or chemical drain cleaners to unclog the pipes. If the blockage is severe or located deep within the pipes, contact a professional for assistance. When operating, wear gloves and goggles to prevent chemical agents from contacting the skin or splashing into the eyes.

  2. Leaking Drain Pipes

    • If the leak point can be clearly identified (such as a crack in the pipe or at a joint), cut off the leaking section and replace it with a new pipe, or wrap the leak with leak-stopping tape and then cover it with leak-stopping glue. Allow it to sit for 24 hours before use.
    • If a metal pipe is broken, it needs to be cut off and re-welded. It is recommended that a professional perform this operation.

II. Water Fixture Damage Issues

  1. Damaged Faucets After turning off the water supply and draining the water from the pipes, disassemble the faucet to check if the sealing gasket is aged or damaged. Replace it with a new gasket. If the main body of the faucet is damaged, replace it with a new one directly. When installing, follow the instructions to ensure tight threaded connections.

  2. Poor Sealing of the Toilet or Damaged Drain Valve If the bottom of the toilet is not properly sealed with the floor, leading to water seepage, reapply glass glue or replace the sealing ring. If the drain valve is damaged (such as being unable to close), contact a professional for repair or toilet replacement.

III. Waterproof Layer Issues

  1. Damaged Waterproof Layer

    • If the damage is not severe, use a permeable waterproof material: mix it with water and pour it onto the floor or spray it on the walls and pipe joints. Remove any residual gel-like substances from the tile surface within 24 hours.
    • If the waterproof layer at the joints is damaged (such as around the toilet or floor drain), apply plastic-steel mud to cover the area. If the pipe is broken, wrap the broken section with plastic-steel mud.
  2. Ineffective Waterproof Layer on Walls or Floors

    • Wall Issues (such as efflorescence or mold): Use a "permeable waterproofing agent spray" to spray the walls and let it sit for 24 hours before wiping dry.
    • Floor Issues (such as water seepage): First, wipe the floor dry with a clean cloth. Block the drain and apply a "permeable waterproofing agent coating" to the floor. After 24 hours, clean up the solidified residue.

IV. Precautions

  • Safety First: Before repairing, turn off the water supply and drain the water to avoid electric shock or slipping. Keep the area well-ventilated when using chemical agents.
  • Product Selection: When replacing faucets, joints, or toilets, prioritize reliable brands and install them strictly according to the instructions.
  • Professional Assistance: If you lack repair experience or the problem is complex (such as welding metal pipes or replacing an entire toilet), it is advisable to contact a professional to avoid further damage.
