Mobile Toilet Layout Principles

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

The principles for mobile toilet layout mainly include four aspects: site selection, area division, supporting facilities, and layout management, as detailed below:

1. Site Selection Principles
Mobile toilets should be prioritized for placement in areas with high pedestrian traffic and easy accessibility, ideally no more than 100 meters from the main activity area to ensure convenience. They should avoid areas near water sources, kitchens, and other hygiene-sensitive zones to prevent contamination. Additionally, they should be kept away from entrances/exits, fire exits, and low-lying areas prone to water accumulation to avoid equipment damage from flooding. Furthermore, a safe distance should be maintained from other temporary facilities (such as stages and dining areas) to minimize noise and odor disturbances for users.

2. Area Division Principles
Male and female toilets should be separated, with a minimum distance of at least 2 meters between them. Clear signage should be placed at entrances, using different colors to distinguish functional areas. If the event involves individuals with disabilities, at least one accessible toilet should be reserved, equipped with handrails, hooks, and other facilities, and placed close to the main passage. The toilet site should be selected in a well-ventilated and relatively secluded corner to avoid direct sunlight and rain immersion, enhancing user comfort.

3. Supporting Facilities Principles
A dedicated cleaning area should be set up beside the toilets, equipped with trash bins, disinfectants, and spare toilet paper, with dedicated personnel assigned for regular cleaning to ensure hygiene. For nighttime events, emergency lights should be installed, and usage instructions and emergency contact information should be posted at entrances. In hot weather, sunshades can be added above the toilets to reduce internal temperatures. Additionally, ensure proper drainage at the bottom, elevate the foundation during rainy seasons to prevent water accumulation, and regularly spray mosquito repellent and set up mosquito traps to reduce mosquito breeding.

4. Layout Management Principles

  • Positioning and Principles: Centered on a "people-first" approach,兼顾 (which means 'taking into account' in Chinese, here it can be translated as 'while also considering') hygiene, safety, and convenience, with an emphasis on environmental friendliness and sustainability. Management systems should be clear and effectively implemented, with on-site management personnel receiving training and having clearly defined responsibilities.
  • Grouped Layout Strategy: Toilets in the same area should be uniformly grouped for easy centralized maintenance and cleaning, avoiding scattered placement that leads to management chaos. Clear entrance/exit signage should be set up, and flow lines should be optimized to prevent congestion.
  • Privacy and Screening: Complete curtains or doors should be provided, with the door opening direction reasonably designed. Visual privacy screens should be placed at entrances to prevent external glances.
  • Visual and Signage: Use signage with high color contrast to ensure visibility day and night; emergency lighting or photosensitive lights can be used at night to facilitate identification of entrances and routes in low-light conditions.
  • Safety Design: Door locks should be simple and reliable, with anti-pinch features; emergency call devices or linked alarm buttons should be installed inside to ensure users can quickly seek help in case of emergency.
