Detailed Introduction to Mobile Toilet Functions
Admin 27 de septiembre de 2026
A mobile toilet is a public sanitation facility that can be moved as a whole and is suitable for both fixed and temporary locations. Its functional design encompasses eco-friendly technologies, intelligent systems, structural materials, and user-friendly details to meet diverse scenario demands.

1. Eco-Friendly Technology Solutions
Mobile toilets achieve environmental protection and water conservation through three technologies:
- Waterless Flush Type: No need to connect to water supply and drainage pipes. It employs biodegradation, packaging, or chemical treatment technologies, using degradation bacteria or sealed bags to handle excreta, avoiding sewage discharge. It is suitable for water-scarce or temporary scenarios.
- Water Flush Type: Requires connection to water supply and drainage pipes but is equipped with a rainwater collection and filtration system and a hand-washing water secondary flushing technology. For example, rainwater is initially filtered and then used for flushing, and hand-washing water is sedimented and recycled, significantly reducing water consumption.
- Foam Sealing Type: A foaming device generates dense foam to cover the toilet bowl, blocking odors and reducing the flushing volume. The lubricating effect of the foam makes excreta slide easily, and the single flushing volume can be reduced to below 0.5 liters, with outstanding water-saving effects.
2. Intelligent System Configuration
Some high-end products integrate intelligent management modules:
- Remote Monitoring: The underlying PLC data acquisition system monitors data such as temperature, humidity, and usage frequency inside the toilet in real-time and transmits it to the management platform through a 4G module, supporting abnormal warnings (such as overflow and equipment failure).
- Toilet Stall Display: A 40-inch LED screen dynamically displays the occupancy status of toilet stalls, guiding users to quickly locate available positions and improving usage efficiency.
- Mobile Phone Control: Users can remotely control functions such as lighting, flushing, and ventilation through an APP, and managers can adjust the equipment operation mode (such as energy-saving mode and peak mode). For example, during the Winter Olympics, epidemic-prevention intelligent public toilets supported hand-waving door opening and automatic seat pad replacement, reducing the risk of contact transmission.
3. Structure and Material Design
- Frame Structure: Channel steel or I-beams are used as the bottom support, and square steel columns enhance stability, meeting the requirements for hoisting and trailer transportation. The wind resistance rating can reach above level 8.
- Wall Materials: Color-coated steel plates, metal carved plates, or aluminum-plastic plates are selected, which have fireproof, anti-corrosion, and heat-insulating properties and can adapt to extreme temperatures ranging from -20℃ to 50℃. Some high-end models use anti-corrosion wood for decoration to enhance aesthetics.
- Size Specifications: The size of the squatting position for defecation is 1.00–1.20m × 0.85m–1.20m, the standing position for urination is 0.70m × 0.65m, and the spacing between independent urinals is 0.80m to ensure usage comfort. The aisle width is adjusted according to the door opening method, with 1.30m required for single-row outward-opening doors and 1.50m for double-row doors.
4. Functional Detail Optimization
- Ventilation Design: Each toilet stall is equipped with an independent ventilation device, and trailer-type toilets have push-up windows on the back to form natural convection and quickly exhaust odors.
- Electrical Safety: The rear part is reserved with an incoming wire hole and a main control switch, supporting external power supply or solar power supply. The wiring is treated with waterproof and moisture-proof measures to avoid the risk of electric leakage.
- Additional Services: Service providers offer full-process maintenance, on-site management, usage training, and loading and unloading transportation services to ensure the stable operation of the equipment. Some regions (such as Chengdu) stipulate that large-scale events should be equipped with eco-friendly mobile toilets in proportion to the number of people to meet temporary needs.
Through modular design, integration of eco-friendly technologies, and intelligent management, mobile toilets have become an important supplement to public sanitation facilities, balancing functionality and sustainability.
