Water Leakage Below the Flush in Mobile Toilets

Admin 13 de octubre de 2026

Water leakage below the flush in mobile toilets may be caused by sealing issues, pipe connection problems, broken drain pipes, or cracked sealant, and requires targeted treatment based on the specific situation.

If it is a sealing issue, a common cause is the aging of the sealing ring. After long-term use, the sealing ring may lose its elasticity due to wear and corrosion, resulting in poor sealing and water leakage through gaps. In this case, the water supply should be turned off first to prevent further leakage during the repair process. Then, the base should be disassembled, and any residual adhesive should be cleaned to ensure a clean and flat installation surface. Next, install a sealing ring of the matching model. It is recommended to choose a silicone sealing ring, which has good corrosion resistance and elasticity and a longer service life.

If it is a pipe connection problem, such as loose screws at the connection between the drain pipe and the flange plate of the sewage outlet. During long-term use, the screws may gradually loosen due to vibration and corrosion, resulting in gaps at the connection and water leakage through these gaps. In this case, a wrench can be used to tighten the connecting bolts to enhance the tightness of the connection. If the threads are stripped, it means the screws can no longer be fixed properly, and the matching flange components need to be replaced. When installing new flange components, wrapping the threaded parts with leak-proof tape can enhance the sealing and prevent further leakage.

If the drain pipe is broken, PVC pipes may develop gaps due to external impact or freezing. If the crack is small, epoxy resin can be used for repair. Epoxy resin has good adhesion and water resistance and can effectively fill the crack and prevent water leakage. If the damaged area of the pipe is large, simple repair may not solve the problem, and the damaged section should be cut off and a new pipe connected using a union fitting. When installing the new pipe, pay attention to maintaining a drainage slope of no less than 2% to ensure smooth drainage and prevent water accumulation and further leakage.

In addition, if the mobile toilet has been in use for a long time, even if it is produced by a reputable manufacturer and has waterproofing technology, the sealant may still crack. Rainwater may seep in through the gaps, causing water leakage below the flush area. In this case, the sealant should be reapplied to fill the gaps and enhance the waterproof performance.
