Mobile Toilet Flush Pedal Installation

Admin 05 de octubre de 2026

The installation of the mobile toilet flush pedal (foot pedal valve) must be carried out in accordance with specifications to ensure airtightness, functional stability, and durability. The specific steps are as follows:

I. Pre-installation Preparation

  1. Clean the water supply pipe
Before installation, flush the pipe with water to remove iron filings, debris, etc., preventing impurities from entering the valve body and damaging the sealing gasket. This is a crucial step to avoid subsequent water leakage.
  2. Confirm installation dimensions
Measure the distance between the inlet and outlet pipes to ensure it is 75±3mm. If the dimensional deviation is too large, the valve body will not align properly or seal tightly, requiring adjustment of the pipe position or replacement with an appropriate valve body.

II. Main Body Installation and Sealing

  1. Secure the foot pedal valve
    • Remove the movable joint of the foot pedal valve, wrap 3-4 turns of Teflon tape around the threaded part of the pipe joint, screw it in 6-7 threads, and then adjust the direction of the outlet to align with the drain pipe.
    • Place a nut and a beveled rubber ring (with the beveled side facing upwards) sequentially on the upper end of the drain pipe, insert the outlet pipe into the valve body outlet, and tighten the nut to secure it. Wrap a flat gasket around the threaded part of the valve body inlet, tighten the nut, and then use a wrench to reinforce the connection of the inlet and outlet pipes to prevent loosening and leakage.
  2. Connect the water pipes
    • Use two water pipes to connect the water tank outlet → foot pedal valve inlet and the foot pedal valve outlet → toilet inlet, respectively. Wrap Teflon tape around the joints to prevent leakage.
    • For buried installations (such as in public toilets), reserve a burial depth of more than 30 centimeters and keep the valve level to avoid sealing failure due to tilting.

III. Commissioning and Acceptance

  1. Functional testing
    • Step on the foot pedal multiple times to check the water flow force, rebound sensitivity, and whether the lid opens and closes smoothly (for linkage types, confirm that the roller slides along the track). If the water flow is weak, adjust the curvature of the water pipe or check for blockages at the joints; if the lid gets stuck, readjust the connection points or sealing parts.
  2. Leakage inspection
    • After turning on the water supply, observe whether there is any leakage at the various joints of the valve body (such as the inlet and outlet, nut connections). If leakage is detected, immediately turn off the water supply, retighten the nuts, or replace the sealing gasket.

IV. Material Selection and Durability Assurance

  1. Material selection
    • It is recommended to use copper alloy (with a copper content of ≥59%) or stainless steel (304/316 grade) for the main body of the valve to adapt to humid environments. The pedal surface should be treated with anti-slip measures (such as raised dots or rubber pads) to enhance stepping stability.
  2. Maintenance specifications
    • Regularly check whether the pedal resets smoothly. If it gets stuck, clean the internal debris. If there is water leakage, it may be due to aging of the sealing ring, and the corresponding model of sealing part should be replaced. In northern regions, insulation should be provided for buried pipes in winter to prevent freezing and cracking.

Precautions: If there are mismatched hole positions, damaged parts, or operational difficulties during installation, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer or professional maintenance personnel to avoid equipment damage or safety hazards caused by self-installation. Some models support flow adjustment (such as adjusting the water volume with a knob), and the single flush volume should be adjusted according to actual needs.
