Mobile Toilet Floor Tile Design Tutorial

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, there is no complete tutorial for designing floor tiles for mobile toilets, but a comprehensive design can be achieved by combining the design principles of fixed toilets with the characteristics of mobile structures in the following aspects:

I. Foundation Structure Construction and Fixation

If the base of the mobile toilet needs to be made of tiles or panels, the materials should be cut according to the contour of the toilet bowl base:

  • Cutting Method: Draw a marking line along the edge of the toilet bowl, and use an angle grinder to cut out a rectangular block slightly larger than the toilet bowl base to ensure the stability of the base after installation.
  • Installation of Mobile Devices: When installing universal wheels at the four corners of the base, mark the positions of the screw holes with a marking pen, drill holes with an electric drill, and fix the screw rods. Finally, cut off the protruding screw rods on the back to avoid affecting the flatness of the ground.
  • Sealing Treatment: Special attention should be paid to the sealing between the sewage pipe and the base of the mobile toilet. Waterproof glue can be applied at the joint or a sealing ring can be installed to prevent sewage leakage.

II. Anti-slip and Drainage Design

Refer to the floor design of shower rooms to optimize the anti-slip and drainage performance of the floor tiles in mobile toilets:

  • Central Protrusion + Grooving Treatment: Use anti-slip stone (such as marble) in the central area and groove it, forming drainage grooves around it. Water flows along the grooves into the floor drain. It is recommended to control the grooving depth at 3-5 millimeters to avoid dirt accumulation.
  • Semi-arc Drainage Grooves: If the drainage grooves are prone to water accumulation, they can be designed as semi-arcs with higher sides and a lower middle to enhance drainage efficiency. It is recommended that the groove width be 10-15 centimeters and the slope be ≥2%.
  • Selection of Floor Drain Position: The floor drain should be placed at the tile joint or close to the corner for easy slope finding and drainage. If space is limited, a long floor drain can be selected to increase the drainage area.

III. Splicing and Aesthetic Optimization

  • Joint Alignment Paving: If space permits, the wall and floor tiles can be paved with aligned joints. The wall tiles opposite the door and the floor tiles should be aligned to enhance the visual extension. The joint alignment error should be controlled at ≤1 millimeter to avoid affecting the overall effect.
  • Alternative to Threshold Stones: Use the floor tiles of the living room or bathroom instead of traditional threshold stones, and hide the joints under the door to enhance the overall integrity. If it is necessary to distinguish functional areas, metal trim strips can be installed at the edges of the floor tiles.
  • Material Selection: Prioritize floor tiles with an anti-slip coefficient ≥0.6 (such as full-body tiles and antique tiles), and avoid using polished tiles with a smooth surface. If grooving design is required, it is recommended to choose marble. Grooving on floor tiles is prone to dirt accumulation and is difficult to clean.

IV. Precautions

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: The grooving design needs to be cleaned regularly to avoid dirt accumulation. It is recommended to brush the drainage grooves with a soft-bristled brush every week and remove water scale with an acidic cleaner every month.
  • Mobile Stability: After installing the universal wheels, test the stability of the mobile toilet to avoid shaking due to uneven ground. Adjustable feet can be installed at the four corners of the base to enhance adaptability.
  • Environmental Protection: Choose low-radiation and odorless floor tile materials to ensure that the indoor air quality of the mobile toilet meets the standards.
