How to Install a Mobile Toilet on the Ground

Admin 02 de octubre de 2026

The installation method for the ground of a mobile toilet should be selected based on the scenario and requirements. Common methods include expansion bolt fixation, concrete pouring fixation, and counterweight block fixation, and basic installation specifications must be followed.

I. Expansion Bolt Fixation Method (Suitable for cement or hardened ground)

  1. Positioning and Marking: Use a level to determine the positions of the four corners at the bottom of the toilet and mark the drilling points to ensure the toilet is level after installation.
  2. Drilling and Installation: Drill holes at the marked points using an impact drill (the depth should match the expansion bolts), insert the expansion bolts, and tighten them to ensure a tight fit with the ground.
  3. Fixing the Chassis: Connect the toilet chassis to the bolts, using 2-4 bolts on each side to enhance stability and prevent tilting due to uneven force distribution.
  4. Reserving Expansion Space: Leave a gap of 2-3mm when fixing the bolts to prevent equipment deformation or damage caused by thermal expansion and contraction.

II. Concrete Pouring Fixation (Suitable for long-term fixation or heavy-duty toilets)

  1. Excavating the Foundation Pit: Dig a foundation pit with a depth of 50cm and a width of 60cm according to the toilet size to ensure a stable foundation.
  2. Laying the Sub-base: Lay a 10cm thick gravel sub-base at the bottom of the pit and compact it to improve drainage and load-bearing capacity.
  3. Formwork and Pouring: After formwork installation, pour C30 concrete and insert a steel reinforcement framework to enhance strength and prevent cracking.
  4. Connecting the Chassis: After the concrete has set for 3-5 days, connect the toilet chassis to the foundation to ensure firmness.
  5. Construction Permit: This method requires prior application for a construction permit and should be carried out by a professional team.

III. Counterweight Block Fixation Method (Suitable for temporary scenarios or non-hardened ground)

  1. Selecting Counterweights: Place pre-fabricated concrete blocks or sandbags around the bottom of the toilet, with each block weighing ≥50kg and the total counterweight ≥1.5 times the self-weight of the toilet.
  2. Waterproofing Treatment: Wrap the counterweight blocks with waterproof tarpaulin to prevent weight changes or displacement due to rain erosion.
  3. Professional Disassembly: When moving the toilet, professional personnel should disassemble the counterweight blocks to avoid damaging the ground or equipment.

IV. Basic Installation Specifications

  1. Ground Pre-treatment: Before installation, level the ground and lay anti-slip mats to prevent water accumulation or slipping after rain.
  2. Fixation Method: Select expansion screws or counterweight blocks for fixation according to the scenario to ensure the toilet's wind resistance.
  3. Water and Electricity Connection: The sewage pipe should be connected to the municipal sewer network, and the power supply area should be kept away from water sources to prevent electric leakage or pollution.
  4. Regular Inspection: Before the rainy season, reinforce the fixing devices and perform anti-rust treatment to extend the service life.

General Requirements: Before fixation, check the ground flatness (error ≤3mm). The lessor should provide a load-bearing test report (ground load-bearing capacity ≥5kN/㎡) to ensure safety and compliance.
