Mobile Toilet Fire Protection

Admin 20 de septiembre de 2026

The fire protection performance of mobile toilets mainly relies on B1-grade fire-resistant panels, with their technical principles, application specifications, and maintenance points as follows:

1. Fire Rating and Standard Basis
Mobile toilet fire-resistant panels typically use B1-grade (difficult-to-burn materials), complying with the Chinese national standard GB 8624-2012, Classification of Burning Behavior of Building Materials and Products. This grade requires rigorous testing of combustion heat value and flame spread index to ensure the material effectively delays fire spread in a fire. B1-grade panels generally have a fire resistance limit of 1-2 hours, meeting the fire safety requirements of public places such as airports, stations, and construction sites.

2. Technical Principles and Material Composition
Fire-resistant panels use magnesium oxide boards or fiber cement boards as the base material, with flame retardants (such as aluminum hydroxide and borates) added to enhance fire protection performance. The core mechanism is that upon exposure to fire, a char layer forms on the surface, isolating oxygen and reducing heat release rate, thereby preventing further flame spread. Industry test data indicate that high-quality fire-resistant panels should have a combustion residue of ≥60% and a smoke density rating of ≤75 (SDR), parameters that directly affect actual fire protection effectiveness.

3. Installation Specifications and Precautions

  • Joint Treatment: Fire-resistant sealant must be used to fill gaps, preventing flames from penetrating the panels through the gaps.
  • Fastener Spacing: The spacing between fixing screws or clips should not exceed 300mm to ensure panel structural stability and prevent deformation or detachment due to high temperatures.
  • Metal Frame Contact: Fire-resistant gaskets must be installed at the connection points between the panels and metal frames to reduce heat conduction and prevent local overheating that could trigger combustion.

4. Product Selection and Maintenance Recommendations
Prioritize fire-resistant panels certified by the China Certification Center for Fire Products (CCCF) to ensure compliance with national standards. Regularly inspect panel integrity, focusing on joints, fasteners, and edges for signs of cracking, detachment, or damage to the char layer. If damage is found, timely replacement or repair is necessary to maintain fire protection performance.

Summary: The fire protection design of mobile toilets requires comprehensive control from material selection and installation specifications to post-maintenance. B1-grade fire-resistant panels, through scientific formulation and rigorous testing, provide reliable fire safety protection for public places.
