Mobile Toilet Fecal Box

Admin 23 de septiembre de 2026

The fecal box of a mobile toilet generally refers to a fecal sewage storage tank or a similar storage device, and its form varies depending on the type of toilet.

The core of a mobile toilet's fecal treatment system is the fecal sewage storage tank, which can be regarded as a broad-sense "fecal box". Its function is to collect and temporarily store excreta to prevent direct discharge from polluting the environment. Some mobile toilets come with their own fecal tanks. For example, a common model is 1.1 meters in length and width and 2.3 meters in height. It is made of polyethylene plastic and is equipped with a foot-operated squat toilet inside, with the squat toilet directly connected to the fecal tank below. This design achieves excreta collection through physical isolation. The material of the fecal tank needs to be corrosion-resistant and highly sealed to prevent leakage or the spread of odors.

According to the sewage treatment method, mobile toilets can be divided into the following types, and the relationship between their fecal treatment forms and the "fecal box" is as follows:

  1. Water-flush and non-water-flush suction-type mobile toilets: The water-flush type flushes excreta into the storage tank with a small amount of water, and the tank body needs to be regularly suctioned and cleaned; the non-water-flush type directly relies on the storage tank for collection and is transported to the treatment station by vacuum pumping. The storage tanks of both types need to meet sealing requirements to avoid leakage during transportation.
  2. Circulating water-flush mobile toilets: Through biological degradation or chemical treatment technology, excreta is converted into water that can be used for circulating flushing, and the remaining solid residues are stored in the storage tank. This type of "fecal box" needs to have both solid-liquid separation functions, and its material needs to be resistant to chemical corrosion.
  3. Dry-packing mobile toilets: Degradable plastic bags are used to directly wrap excreta to form independent "fecal packages", eliminating the need for traditional storage tanks. However, some designs still retain a small collection box for temporary storage to facilitate the replacement of packing bags.

The design differences in the "fecal boxes" of different types of mobile toilets reflect technological adaptability: water-flush types rely on large-capacity storage tanks to extend the cleaning cycle; dry-packing types reduce storage requirements through material innovation; circulating water-flush types need to integrate treatment modules to reduce volume. In practical applications, it is necessary to select the appropriate type according to the usage scenario (such as scenic spots, construction sites, or emergency rescue) and regularly maintain the fecal treatment system to ensure hygiene and environmental protection standards.
