Mobile Toilet: Essential for Construction Sites

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

Mobile toilets are essential facilities at construction sites, and the following key points should be considered when selecting them:

1. Determine the Quantity Based on Needs

The number of mobile toilets at a construction site should be planned according to the workforce size and project duration. Typically, one standard stall is required for every 30-50 workers. For longer projects (e.g., exceeding three months), it is advisable to add 1-2 extra stalls as backups. For example, a site with 100 workers can be equipped with four standard stalls to meet peak demands or unexpected situations. Proper planning can avoid resource wastage or shortages.

2. Focus on Material Quality and Durability

Construction sites have complex environments, so corrosion-resistant and moisture-proof materials should be selected. The main structure is recommended to be made of thickened fiberglass or metal carved panels, with the base treated for rust prevention (e.g., coated with anti-rust paint). Door panels should be equipped with locks to ensure privacy. These materials can withstand high temperatures, humidity, or dusty conditions, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs.

3. Sewage Disposal and Installation Convenience

Prioritize mobile toilets with sewage tanks for easy regular disposal of waste. If the site has access to water and electricity, models with flushing functions can be chosen; otherwise, foot-operated flushing or eco-friendly packaged toilets are options. The installation location should be close to the workers' living area to minimize travel distance, and the ground should be level for easy securing or relocation.

4. Practical Functional Configurations

Basic functions should include sinks, hooks, and storage shelves; heating devices (e.g., warm air blowers) can be added in winter, and fans in summer; ventilation should be well-designed to prevent odor buildup. If the budget allows, additional features like lighting, emergency call devices, or disinfection equipment can be included to enhance user experience and safety.

5. Weighing Rental vs. Purchase Options

For short-term projects (within one month), renting is recommended, with costs ranging from 200-500 yuan per day, offering high flexibility. For long-term projects (over three months), purchasing is more cost-effective, with unit prices typically ranging from 3000-8000 yuan, considering transportation and installation costs. When renting, clarify deposit refund terms to avoid disputes. Additionally, simple self-made solutions (e.g., using water storage tanks and pallets for modifications) can be considered, but ensure structural stability and hygiene standards are met.

By scientifically planning the quantity, selecting durable materials, optimizing sewage disposal design, improving functional configurations, and reasonably choosing rental or purchase methods, the temporary toilet needs at construction sites can be effectively met, enhancing the working environment for workers.
