Mobile Toilet Electricity
Admin 20 de septiembre de 2026
Mobile toilets indeed require electricity, but their power supply methods, electricity demands, and power consumption vary significantly depending on their type, function, and deployment scenario.

Power Supply Methods
Mobile toilets have various power supply methods, including the following main types:
- Mains Power Connection: Directly connected to the municipal power grid (220V/50Hz AC power), equipped with a leakage protection switch, suitable for locations with stable power sources such as city parks and fixed points in scenic areas. Its advantage is continuous and stable power, but deployment flexibility is limited by the power source location.
- Solar Power Supply: Converts light energy into electrical energy through solar panels on the top, storing it in batteries during the day for use at night or on cloudy/rainy days. For example, a 7KW photovoltaic system can support operation for about 3 days, suitable for remote areas with abundant sunlight but lacking a power grid, though a backup power source is needed to cope with weather changes.
- Dry Battery Power Supply: Mostly used in simple models at highway service areas or temporary event sites, easy to install but with limited power supply capacity and battery life, typically serving as a temporary or emergency supplement.
- Battery Power Supply: Uses lead-acid batteries or lithium batteries (the mainstream choice), with an independent power supply time of 8-24 hours, suitable for areas without grid coverage (such as remote scenic spots). Lithium batteries are gradually becoming mainstream due to their high energy density and long lifespan, though initial costs are higher.
- Hybrid Power Supply: Combines solar power, batteries, and external power sources, automatically switching based on environmental conditions. For example, using solar power during the day, switching to batteries at night, and connecting to mains power in extreme cases to ensure power supply stability.
Electrical Equipment
The internal electrical equipment of mobile toilets mainly includes:
- Lighting System: Ensures sufficient internal lighting.
- Automatic Flushing Control System: Controlled by a microcomputer or infrared sensor, it is one of the core electrical equipment. During power outages, some models relying on municipal water and electricity will fail; models with built-in hidden water tanks can flush 1-2 times in emergencies; models with backup batteries can maintain basic flushing functions for several days.
- Winter Insulation and Anti-freezing System: In cold regions, it maintains the internal temperature between 0°C and 4°C through electric heaters or heating cables to prevent equipment from freezing.
Power Consumption Differences
The power consumption of different types of mobile toilets varies:
- Energy-saving/Ordinary Mobile Toilets: The rated power per toilet is ≤5W, with a daily power consumption of about 0.5kWh per toilet per day; it may increase to 1.5kWh per toilet per day during winter anti-freezing.
- Waterless/Microbial Toilets: Mainly used for fans and control systems, some products (such as the SMD-D-30 model) consume less than 8kWh per day, equivalent to less than 0.1-0.2kWh per person (based on an estimated daily usage of 80-100 people).
