Mobile Toilet Drain Trap Diagram

Admin 10 de octubre de 2026

The drain trap of mobile toilets is usually made of stainless steel and is equipped with a return bend (trap) to achieve odor-proofing. Common types include S-shaped and P-shaped traps, and specific designs should refer to the supplier's manual or professional guidance.

Material and Function

The drain trap of mobile toilets often selects stainless steel due to its corrosion resistance, high strength, and ease of cleaning, making it suitable for outdoor or high-frequency use scenarios. The core function of the trap is to form a water seal through the return bend (trap), using a water column (with a height of not less than 50mm) to isolate odors and insects from the pipeline, ensuring the hygiene of the use environment.

Types of Traps

  1. S-shaped Trap
    It has an "S"-shaped curved structure, with both ends connected to the drain outlet and the sewage pipeline respectively. Its advantage lies in the strong stability of the water seal, suitable for vertical drainage scenarios, but it requires a relatively large installation space.

  2. P-shaped Trap
    It has a "P"-shaped curved structure, with one end connected to the drain outlet and the other end horizontally connected to the sewage pipeline. This type occupies less space and is suitable for horizontal drainage scenarios, but regular cleaning is required to prevent dirt buildup from affecting the water seal effect.

Design Considerations

  • Water Seal Height: The water column height of the trap should be ≥50mm; otherwise, it cannot effectively isolate odors. If the water seal is too shallow, it may fail due to negative pressure or evaporation.
  • Anti-clogging Design: The inner wall of the trap's bends should be kept smooth to avoid sharp edges and reduce the risk of dirt adhesion. Some designs incorporate inspection ports for easy post-maintenance疏通 (unclogging).
  • Installation Angle: It is recommended to control the angle between the trap and the horizontal plane at 15°-30° to ensure smooth drainage while preventing the water seal from being quickly broken.

Ways to Obtain Specific Drawings

If you need detailed design drawings or installation diagrams of the drain trap for mobile toilets, it is recommended to obtain them through the following methods:

  1. Contact the product supplier to request the accompanying installation manual or technical drawings;
  2. Consult professional pipeline designers to customize a plan according to the actual use scenario (such as drainage volume and space limitations);
  3. Refer to the trap design requirements in industry standards (such as the "Code for Design of Building Water Supply and Drainage" GB 50015) and adjust them according to the particularity of mobile toilets.
