Mobile Toilet Disinfection Plan

Admin 21 de septiembre de 2026

The disinfection plan for mobile toilets mainly includes physical disinfection methods and chemical disinfection methods, as detailed below:

Physical Disinfection Methods

  • High-temperature disinfection: Use high-temperature steam generated by a steam generator to spray and disinfect surfaces such as toilets and sinks. High-temperature steam can effectively kill bacteria and viruses, achieving significant results within a few minutes. It is important to control the steam temperature and duration to avoid damaging the facilities.
  • Ultraviolet disinfection: Turn on ultraviolet disinfection lamps during periods when the toilet is not in use to achieve disinfection by destroying the DNA structure of microorganisms. Ultraviolet disinfection is broad-spectrum and can kill a variety of bacteria and viruses. Avoid direct exposure of ultraviolet rays to the human body to prevent harm. Ultraviolet equipment can also be used to irradiate treated feces and equipment surfaces for at least 30 minutes. If conditions permit, use high-temperature steam to treat feces, ensuring the temperature reaches above 80℃ and is maintained for more than 30 minutes to completely kill pathogens.

Chemical Disinfection Methods

  • Chlorine-containing disinfectants: Dilute chlorine-containing disinfectants (such as 84 disinfectant) in a certain ratio and use a sprayer to comprehensively spray the floor, walls, toilets, etc. Chlorine-containing disinfectants have strong oxidizing properties and can quickly kill various microorganisms. Pay attention to the dilution ratio and duration of action to avoid corroding the facilities. After disinfection, rinse thoroughly with clean water to prevent residual disinfectant from irritating the human body. Bleaching powder (diluted 1:100 - 1:200 and sprayed for 30 minutes to 1 hour) or sodium hypochlorite (with an effective chlorine content of 500 - 1000mg/l, sprayed and maintained for 30 minutes) can also be used.
  • Peracetic acid: Dilute to an appropriate concentration and use for wiping or spraying disinfection, which can quickly kill various microorganisms. Peracetic acid is corrosive, so wear protective clothing and gloves when using it to avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. A 0.5% - 1% concentration solution can also be used for spraying, followed by rinsing with clean water after application.
  • Alcohol disinfection: For frequently touched parts such as door handles and faucets, use 75% alcohol for wiping disinfection. Alcohol can quickly kill bacteria and is volatile, leaving no residue. Note that alcohol is flammable and explosive, so keep it away from fire sources and high-temperature environments when using it.
  • Chlorine dioxide: Use 5 - 10mg per cubic meter of water, dissolve, and spray for 30 minutes.

Precautions

Ensure that the mobile toilet is unoccupied during disinfection operations. After completing the operations, ventilate the area promptly. Regularly conduct comprehensive cleaning and disinfection. Staff should wear protective clothing, gloves, masks, and goggles. After operations, maintain ventilation in the environment for more than 30 minutes. Regularly clean the septic tank and surrounding equipment, and set up isolation areas to prevent feces from coming into contact with the skin or eyes.
