Disinfection and Sterilization of Mobile Toilets
Admin 08 de octubre de 2026
Disinfection and sterilization of mobile toilets can be achieved through physical methods, chemical methods, and safety protection measures, as detailed below:

I. Physical Disinfection Methods
- Ultraviolet Disinfection
- Use ultraviolet equipment to irradiate treated feces and equipment surfaces for a duration of at least 30 minutes, which can destroy the DNA structure of microorganisms and kill bacteria and viruses.
- Install ultraviolet disinfection lamps and turn them on when the toilet is not in use to comprehensively irradiate the interior space.
- High-Temperature Steam Disinfection
- Treat feces with high-temperature steam at a temperature of at least 80℃ for more than 30 minutes to completely kill pathogens.
- Use a steam generator to spray high-temperature steam onto surfaces such as toilet bowls and sinks for a few minutes to effectively disinfect them.
II. Chemical Disinfection Methods
- Chlorine-Containing Disinfectants
- Bleaching Powder: Dilute to a ratio of 1:100-1:200 and spray, allowing it to act for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Sodium Hypochlorite: With an available chlorine content of 500-1000mg/L, spray and maintain for 30 minutes.
- Chlorine Dioxide: Use 5-10mg per cubic meter of water, dissolve, and spray for 30 minutes.
- Peracetic Acid
- Use a 0.5%-1% concentration solution for spraying, wearing protective gear, and rinse with water after application.
- After dilution, it can be used for wiping or spraying, but attention should be paid to its corrosiveness.
- Alcohol
- Wipe high-frequency contact areas such as door handles and faucets with 75% alcohol to quickly kill bacteria.
III. Safety Protection Measures
- Personal Protection
- Staff should wear protective clothing, gloves, masks, and goggles to avoid direct contact with contaminants.
- Ventilation
- After operation, maintain environmental ventilation for more than 30 minutes to expel residual disinfectants or harmful gases.
IV. Other Precautions
- Equipment Maintenance
- Regularly clean the septic tank and surrounding equipment to prevent bacterial growth and odor diffusion.
- Operation Specifications
- Set up isolation areas to prevent feces from coming into contact with skin or eyes, and clean tools promptly after operation.
- Smart Device Assistance
- Some mobile toilets are equipped with integrated mechanical cleaning, atomized disinfection, and drying functions, achieving full coverage disinfection of the inner wall and rim of the toilet bowl through infrared sensing.
- Smart tabletop ultraviolet disinfection lamps can be timed by buttons or remote control, offering both sterilization and deodorization functions.
