Mobile Toilet Design
Mobile toilet design requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors such as structure, functionality, mobility, and aesthetics. Here are the specific design points:

Overall Structure and Materials
The overall structure of a mobile toilet should be lightweight yet sturdy, facilitating easy movement and installation. When selecting materials, prioritize lightweight and durable options such as fiberglass-reinforced plastic and polyethylene. For instance, water storage barrels or tanks can be used as the primary structural materials. These are not only lightweight but also possess sufficient strength and corrosion resistance to meet the basic needs of a mobile toilet.
Mobility Devices
The design of mobility devices is crucial for facilitating easy movement. Fixing universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board or拖板 (a type of mobile base) allows the toilet to turn and move flexibly. The choice of universal wheels should consider load-bearing capacity and wear resistance to ensure smooth movement on different surfaces.
Functional Component Setup
- Sanitary Fixtures: These include toilets and washbasins. The toilet can be placed over the opening of a drainage pipe, with the water tank installed and secured with glass glue to ensure stability during use. The washbasin can be made from a stainless steel basin and fixed in place for easy cleaning by users.
- Water Tank and Plumbing: Install a water tank to store clean water and connect it to the inlet pipe, shower hose, etc. For example, connect a homemade shower made from water pipes, install a three-way valve below the inlet pipe, and connect it to the showerhead to provide users with shower functionality. Simultaneously, connect the toilet water tank to the inlet pipe to ensure normal flushing.
- Drainage System: Create an opening at the bottom of the barrel and install a drainage pipe to form a floor drain. Connect the drainage pipe to a sewage tank to ensure smooth drainage of wastewater and maintain cleanliness inside the toilet.
Walls and Roof
- Walls: Construct walls using wooden strips and plastic soft panels. Increase the height by fixing wooden strips to the upper side of the barrel with self-tapping screws, then embed plastic soft panels between the wooden strips to form elevated walls. This ensures both wall stability and a certain degree of aesthetics.
- Roof: Place the upper half of a water storage barrel steadily on top of the wooden strips to form the roof of the house. Alternatively, invert another water storage tank with an open top and stack it on top of the first tank, securing the outer frames of both tanks together with self-tapping screws to serve as the roof, providing shelter from wind and rain.
Door Setup
Install sponge strips on both sides of the doorway to form a door frame. Make a simple door and install the door panel and handle. For example, use foam strips to拼接 (join) two discarded honeycomb wooden boards to form a simple door and secure the door panel, ensuring door tightness and ease of use.
Aesthetic Enhancement
To enhance indoor aesthetics, apply waterproof paint to wooden strips and other components. For instance, carefully apply a layer of white waterproof paint to the wooden strips, which not only improves appearance but also extends the lifespan of the components.
Design Principles
The design should adhere to the principles of mobility convenience, economic durability; environmental protection and ecology, beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency, and promoting humanity. Additionally, consider controlling the height and width of the toilet to adapt to different usage scenarios.
