Mobile Toilet Construction Site Size Parameters
The size parameters of mobile toilets on construction sites are customized according to usage scenarios and requirements. Common standard sizes are as follows:

1. Single-unit Size
The size design of single-unit mobile toilets must meet basic usage needs while considering space utilization.
- Width: Typically 1.0-1.2 meters, this range can accommodate normal activities of a single person and reserve space for opening the door.
- Depth: 1.0-1.5 meters, the depth must ensure that users do not feel cramped when standing or squatting, while accommodating the toilet and necessary facilities.
- Height: 2.0-2.5 meters, the conventional height is 230 centimeters. This height ensures ventilation and avoids a sense of oppression, while meeting the requirements for installing internal equipment.
2. Multi-unit Combination Size
Multi-unit mobile toilets need to adjust the overall size according to the number of squatting positions to balance functionality and floor space.
- Double-squatting Position: The overall width is approximately 2.0-2.4 meters, with the same depth as a single unit (1.0-1.5 meters), and the height remains at 2.0-2.5 meters. This size can accommodate two people using it simultaneously, and the aisle width complies with safety regulations.
- Double-person Type: Some designs adopt specifications of 180 centimeters in length, 110 centimeters in width, and 230 centimeters in height, suitable for construction site scenarios with limited space. However, it should be noted that such sizes may sacrifice some comfort.
3. Special Requirement Sizes
For barrier-free usage scenarios, mobile toilets must meet the requirements for wheelchair passage and rotation, with stricter size standards.
- Barrier-free Toilet: The width must be ≥1.5 meters, and the depth ≥1.8 meters. This range ensures that wheelchairs can enter and exit freely and complete a 180-degree rotation. Some designs adopt specifications of 180 centimeters in length, 150 centimeters in width, and 240 centimeters in height to further optimize space utilization.
- Other Special Requirements: For example, family restrooms or母婴室 (mother-and-baby rooms) may require expanded sizes to accommodate auxiliary facilities (such as child safety seats and nursing tables), depending on the actual functions.
Material and Structural Characteristics
Mobile toilets on construction sites mostly use color-coated steel plates, metal carved plates, or steel structure frames. These materials have the advantages of being lightweight, durable, and easy to clean, and can adapt to the complex environment of construction sites while reducing maintenance costs.
