Mobile Toilet Construction Guide

The construction methods for mobile toilets vary depending on the design. Here are the construction methods for two common designs:

Making a Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Barrel

1. Preparation Stage: Select an idle water storage barrel at home and use an angle grinder to split it in half from the middle to prepare for subsequent assembly.
2. Assemble the Frame: Fix universal wheels at the four corners of a wooden board for easy movement. Take several wooden strips and fix them on the upper side of the barrel with self-tapping screws to increase the height of the barrel and provide space for installing other components later.
3. Build the Door Frame and Walls: Use an angle grinder to open a doorway on the side of the water storage barrel and install sponge strips on both sides of the doorway to build the door frame. Insert a piece of plastic soft board between the wooden strips to form an elevated wall.
4. Install the Roof: Place the upper half of the water storage barrel on top of the wooden strips as the roof. To enhance aesthetics, you can paint the wooden strips with white waterproof paint.
5. Indoor Installations:
   • Use a hole-opening tool to make a hole at the bottom of the barrel and install a drain pipe to form a floor drain.
   • Make holes on the side and bottom of a plastic barrel, connect direct joints, and place the plastic barrel on the roof to form a small water storage device.
   • Connect a bath heater made of water pipes, install a tee joint below the water inlet pipe, and connect a showerhead.
   • Place a toilet on the drain pipe hole, install a water tank, and fix it with glass glue.
   • Connect the drain pipe to the sewage barrel to ensure the system operates effectively.
   • Connect a water pipe horizontally to the tee joint of the outlet pipe and extend it to the doorway as the water inlet pipe for the washbasin, and install the washbasin.

Making a Mobile Toilet Using a Water Storage Tank and a Pallet

1. Preparation Stage: Take out a plastic pallet, fix universal wheels at the four corners of the bottom, and place a recycled water storage tank.
2. Process the Water Storage Tank: Use an angle grinder to cut along the marked line at the top of the water storage tank, remove the top to form an open tank. Invert another open tank and stack it on the first one, and fix the outer frame with self-tapping screws.
3. Cut the Doorway: Cut a rectangular opening with a height of 180 cm and a width of 50 cm on the outer frame of the water storage tank, and cut the tank body according to this size to form the doorway.
4. Install the Drainage System: Make a hole on the internal floor of the water storage tank, insert an elbow and a water pipe, seal the gaps with glue, cut off the excess water pipe, place the toilet in alignment with the drain hole, and fix it with glue.
5. Install the Faucet and Washbasin: Fix the water pipe on the wall clip, install the faucet, fix a pipe cap with screws below it, connect the water pipe, make an outlet for the drain pipe, apply glass glue, and fix a stainless steel basin as the washbasin.
6. Install the Showerhead and Toilet Seat: Connect the water inlet pipe of the toilet water tank and the shower hose, install the showerhead bracket and toilet seat, and install a spray-type showerhead.
7. Install the Door: Install a door on the frame of the water storage tank using wooden boards and hinges, and install a door handle.
