Methods for Removing Butterflies from Mobile Toilets
If white butterflies appear in mobile toilets, they can be handled safely and harmlessly using the following methods:

1. Gentle Manual Removal
Open all the windows of the mobile toilet to maintain ventilation and light, using airflow to guide the butterflies out. You can use a clean broom, towel, fan, or clothes hanger to gently move the air or shake the tool towards the window, avoiding startling the butterflies and causing them to fly erratically. This method is suitable for scenarios where the butterflies are clearly visible and the space is open.
2. Utilizing Phototaxis for Guidance
Butterflies are phototactic. At night, turn off all light sources inside the mobile toilet and place a small desk lamp or flashlight near the window, or turn on a light outside the door to create a one-way light channel. The butterflies will actively move towards the light and eventually fly outdoors. Ensure all other light sources are completely turned off to avoid interference.
3. Setting Up Simple Traps
Prepare a shallow dish and pour a small amount of sugar water, honey water, or diluted fruit juice into it, placing it where the butterflies are resting. The butterflies will be attracted by the sweetness and land on the dish. You can then carefully pick up the dish and move it outdoors to release the butterflies. Be sure to clean up any residual liquid promptly to avoid attracting other insects.
4. Using Insect-Catching Tools for Gentle Capture
If you have a professional insect-catching net, slowly approach the butterfly and gently cover it with the net before moving it outdoors to release it. If you don't have professional tools, you can temporarily use breathable gauze or a plastic bag, but ensure the net opening is large enough to avoid damaging the butterfly's wings. Be patient and avoid sudden movements during operation.
5. Using Odors for Repellent
White butterflies are sensitive to pungent odors. You can place chopped onions or garlic inside the mobile toilet, or spray diluted white vinegar water. The odor will form a natural barrier, prompting the butterflies to leave voluntarily. Be sure to control the concentration to avoid discomfort to humans.
Source Prevention Measures
If butterflies appear frequently, check hidden crevices such as floor drains, toilet bases, and under sinks to clear standing water and sanitary dead spots, destroying the breeding environment for insect eggs. Regular disinfection and maintaining dryness can effectively reduce insect infestation.
