How to Connect Pipes for Mobile Toilet Bowls

Admin 05 de octubre de 2026

The method for connecting pipes to mobile toilet bowls depends on the type (squat toilet/automatic toilet) and the drainage method (downward/rearward). The specific operations are as follows:

I. Connection Methods for Squat Toilets

  1. Downward-Drainage Squat Toilets

    • Drainage Pipe Connection: When the drainage outlet faces downward, align the toilet's drainage outlet with the pre-installed drainage pipe on the floor, and install a trap (to prevent odor backflow) in between. Use a PVC drainage pipe for connection. Apply PVC-specific adhesive at the joint to ensure a secure connection.
    • Drainage Slope: The drainage pipe should maintain a slope of 2%-5% (dropping 2-5 cm per meter) to facilitate smooth drainage by gravity. Insufficient slope can lead to sewage retention or blockage.
  2. Rearward-Drainage Squat Toilets

    • Drainage Pipe Connection: When the drainage outlet faces backward, align the toilet's drainage outlet with the pre-installed drainage pipe on the wall. Before installation, confirm the height of the pre-installed outlet (usually 30-40 cm from the floor).
    • Sealing Treatment: Use a dedicated flange sealing ring to secure the drainage outlet and prevent odor leakage. If there is a misalignment between the wall's pre-installed outlet and the toilet's drainage outlet, adjust the flange position or install a reducing coupling to fit.

II. Connection Methods for Automatic Toilets

  1. Water Inlet Connection

    • Connect to the household cold water supply pipe (4-point threaded connection). Do not connect to a hot water pipe (high temperatures may damage internal components). For exposed pipes, wrap the threads with sealing tape 5-8 times before tightening the hose. For concealed pipes, confirm the height of the pre-installed outlet in advance (usually 15-20 cm from the floor).
  2. Drainage Outlet Connection

    • Connect to the toilet's drainage pipe and secure it with a dedicated flange sealing ring to ensure alignment between the drainage outlet and the drainage pipe. If the drainage pipe is made of cast iron, install a rubber shock absorber to reduce noise.
  3. Cleaning Water Circuit Connection

    • The bidet/washlet functions that come with the toilet do not require external pipe connections. Their water circuits are directly connected to the water inlet. During installation, check whether the water circuit valve is open.

III. Connection Method for Multiple Toilets Sharing a Drainage Pipe

If two squat toilets need to share a single drainage pipe, use a tee joint for branch connections:

  1. Connect the horizontal branch pipes to the outlets of the two traps, and connect the vertical main pipe to the main drainage pipe.
  2. Use a level to check the slope of the branch pipes and ensure that the horizontal branch pipes also have a slope of 2%-5% to prevent sewage backflow.

IV. General Precautions

  • Sealing Treatment: Wrap all threaded connections with Teflon tape (5-8 turns) or ensure that quick-connect clamps are fully secured to prevent water leakage.
  • Pre-Installation Preparation: Turn off the power and water supply before operation. When testing, first open the main water valve to check for leaks at the joints. Only secure the toilet after confirming no leaks.
  • Relocation Restrictions: If relocating the toilet, use a flat pipe and control the slope (no more than 1:8) to prevent blockage due to insufficient slope.

Tip: If you are unfamiliar with the operation, it is recommended to contact the brand's after-sales service or a professional plumber for installation to avoid water leakage or odor problems caused by improper pipe connections.
