Mobile Toilet Black Water Treatment

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

There are various methods for treating black water in mobile toilets, mainly including resource utilization treatment, solid-liquid separation + biodegradation process, and supporting sewage treatment systems.

Resource Utilization Treatment

Some mobile toilets are equipped with specialized storage devices to independently collect black water (sewage containing feces) and gray water (relatively clean wastewater generated from handwashing, etc.). Black water has the characteristic of being resource-utilizable and can produce biogas through anaerobic fermentation. For example, the Detong - Intelligent Toilet Integrated System includes an anaerobic fermentation device. This device uses biochemical reactions to disinfect human fecal sludge and employs anaerobic technology to produce biogas. This approach not only achieves effective treatment of black water but also converts it into usable energy, improving resource utilization, reducing energy waste, and simultaneously lowering the environmental pollution caused by black water.

Solid-Liquid Separation + Biodegradation Process

This process first separates large-volume impurities from black water, such as tissues and debris, through grating filtration. The liquid portion after grating filtration enters a septic tank, where microorganisms decompose the organic matter in the liquid. After microbial decomposition, when the water quality meets certain standards, it can be discharged into the municipal sewer network. The separated solid portion undergoes composting treatment. Under suitable temperature, humidity, and ventilation conditions, the organic matter in the solid substances is decomposed by microorganisms into organic fertilizers. These organic fertilizers can be used for landscaping, providing nutrients to plants and promoting their growth; they can also be used for farmland fertilization, improving soil structure and enhancing soil fertility.

Supporting Sewage Treatment Systems

Some advanced mobile toilet systems are equipped with specialized sewage treatment systems, such as the Detong - Intelligent Toilet System, which includes an SBR sewage treatment system. The SBR sewage treatment system is an activated sludge treatment process that achieves different treatment objectives through alternating operations over time. It can further deeply treat black water, removing nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorus, as well as organic pollutants, enabling the treated water quality to meet higher standards and satisfy different discharge or reuse requirements.
