Mobile Toilet Becomes Transparent
Mobile toilets do indeed have situations where they become transparent, mainly in the following two types:

Mobile toilets with transparent windows
Some mobile toilets are designed with transparent windows. The original intention of this design may be to increase natural light, improve ventilation, or enhance the sense of space. However, in actual use, this design poses a risk of privacy leakage. For example, a woman in Henan once captured an embarrassing scene where, due to the transparent windows, people's actions such as pulling up their pants and tidying their clothes while using the mobile toilet were clearly visible from the outside. Without proper shielding measures or privacy protection mechanisms, this transparent window design can easily expose users' privacy, leading to unnecessary embarrassment and distress.
Smart toilet doors becoming transparent due to special mechanisms
In some shopping malls in Shenzhen, smart toilet doors employ special glass technology. This glass appears frosted and opaque when powered on, providing good privacy protection for users. However, when the mall activates its smart smoke-sensing control system, if smoke is detected, the partition glass automatically becomes fully transparent. The core technology behind this design is the commercially available electrochromic glass. Electrochromic glass controls its transparency through an electric current; it is frosted and opaque when powered on and transparent when powered off. The mall's smart smoke-sensing control system is linked to the electrochromic glass. When the smoke sensor detects a smoke concentration reaching a preset threshold, it immediately cuts off the power, causing the glass to become transparent within seconds. Although this design helps the mall manage smoking behavior, it also poses a risk of privacy leakage. If users are unaware of this mechanism or if the smoke control system is accidentally triggered while they are using the toilet, their privacy may be exposed.
To avoid privacy leakage issues caused by mobile toilets becoming transparent, both designers and users should take appropriate measures. Designers should fully consider privacy protection needs and avoid installing unnecessary transparent windows on mobile toilets or adopting smart technologies that may leak privacy. Users, when using mobile toilets, should also understand their design features and potential privacy risks and take necessary preventive measures.
