Mobile Sanitary Toilet

Admin 28 de septiembre de 2026

A mobile sanitary toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole and provides temporary toilet services to the public. It has the advantages of being movable, combinable, and easy to transport.

Composition and Materials

Mobile toilets are generally composed of fecal sewage storage tanks (or fecal sewage treatment devices), floor slabs, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tanks, roofs, and mobile devices. Initially, they were made of materials such as wood, with simple structures and functions and were prone to absorbing odors. Later, they gradually evolved to use materials such as fiberglass and polyethylene, which are more durable and can reduce odors.

Classification Methods

  • By structural form: They can be divided into single-structure mobile toilets and composite-structure mobile toilets. Single-structure toilets are relatively simple and independent, while composite-structure toilets are more complex and may have more functions or a sturdier structure.
  • By mobility method: There are lifting and handling-type mobile toilets, which rely on lifting equipment or manual handling for movement; and powered and trailer-type mobile toilets, which can be moved by power drive or vehicle towing.
  • By sewage treatment method: They are classified into water-flush and waterless suction-type mobile toilets. Water-flush toilets are similar to traditional toilets, using water for flushing, while waterless suction-type toilets handle feces through suction. Recirculating water-flush mobile toilets recycle the flushing water to save water resources. Dry-packing mobile toilets pack the feces for treatment without using water.

Characteristics and Suitable Locations

Their characteristic is that they can be conveniently transported to any location where toilets need to be installed and can be used repeatedly. They are suitable for stations, docks, tourist attractions, villa areas, newly built residential areas, large construction sites, squares, densely populated public places, and bustling commercial streets. They originated from the temporary and阶段性 (phased, here translated as 'periodic') needs for toilets in specific situations. The government installs them in areas where it is relatively difficult to build fixed public toilets to make up for the shortage of public toilet supply and unreasonable layout.

Design Principles

The design should follow the principles of being mobile and convenient, economical and durable; environmentally friendly and beneficial to the environment; improving efficiency and promoting humanity. The overall structure should be lightweight, using lightweight and durable materials as much as possible. The structure should be sturdy, while controlling the height and width of the toilet. The mobile device should be complete and reasonable. In addition, there are folding toilets that are only 90 centimeters high when folded and can be easily transported by pickup trucks or box trucks, suitable for various event sites, construction sites, and remote areas.
