Mobile House Container

Admin 16 de septiembre de 2026

A mobile house container is a form of construction where housing modules are prefabricated in factories, loaded into containers for transportation, and then quickly assembled on-site. The following provides an introduction from multiple aspects:

Application Scenarios

  • Large-scale Events: At the Nagoya Asian Games, to reduce costs, the Japanese side did not build a large-scale athletes' village. Instead, they used cruise ships, container houses, and hotels to accommodate athletes and officials from participating delegations in a dispersed manner. In the port area of Nagoya, approximately 200 container-style accommodation facilities were neatly arranged, expected to house about 2,000 athletes and team officials.
  • Commercial and Residential Use: On e-commerce platforms like 1688, various types of container mobile houses are available for sale. They can be used for construction site dormitories, project department offices, temporary sales offices, camp capsule hotels, villas, and other scenarios, meeting different commercial and residential needs.

Advantages and Characteristics

  • Fast Construction Speed: Modular construction breaks down a house into independent modules, which are precisely assembled in factories on assembly lines for steel structures, walls, pipelines, and bathrooms. These modules are then shipped by containers to the destination for on-site assembly. This method of house construction shortens the construction period by more than 60% compared to traditional methods. For example, a British merchant purchased a Chinese-made modular elderly care apartment. After being shipped from the factory to a British port, it only took two weeks to complete the on-site hoisting and construction. For the MRDC modular hotel project by China Construction Science and Engineering Corporation in Papua New Guinea, the traditional construction method would have required a complete delivery cycle of 14 to 18 months, while the modular solution only took about 7 months in total.
  • Convenient Transportation: Houses are prefabricated in factories like household appliances and then loaded into containers. They can be shipped by sea and other means to various parts of the world, facilitating construction in different regions.

Market Situation

  • China has performed outstandingly in the export of container mobile houses. In the first four months at the Shenzhen port, the value of 'mobile houses' shipped out by enterprises across the country reached 1.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.6%, with destinations in more than 150 countries and regions.
