Mobile Home Container Leakage

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

Leakage in mobile home containers can be caused by loose fasteners, substandard waterproof materials, cracks around openings, unreasonable gutter design, or workmanship issues.

  1. Fastener-related issues: During installation and use, if the roof of the container house is stepped on, it may cause the fasteners to loosen. At the same time, the aging of the fastener waterproof gaskets can also lead to leakage at the fastener locations. For example, some container houses, after long-term use and due to a lack of maintenance, have loose fasteners and are prone to leakage during rainy weather.
  2. Waterproof material and treatment issues: During the construction of mobile homes, if substandard waterproof materials are selected or the waterproof treatment is unreasonable, leakage is likely to occur as the container mobile home ages. For instance, using low-quality waterproof coatings, after a period of exposure to wind, sun, and rain, the waterproofing effect will be significantly reduced.
  3. Crack issues around openings: After making openings in the panels of mobile homes to install equipment such as fans and exhaust pipes, if the waterproof treatment of the surrounding cracks is not good, during use, due to external conditions, wind loads, snow loads, thermal expansion and contraction, etc., the panels of the mobile home may deform, the cracks at the joints may expand, and the original waterproof treatment may be damaged, leading to leakage.
  4. Gutter design issues: If the mobile home gutters have no horizontal slope or the gutter outlets are designed unreasonably, during heavy rain, the accumulated water in the gutters cannot be discharged and will flow back into the inner eaves of the gutters. In addition, if the gutter corrosion protection is not adequate during construction, leading to gutter rusting and erosion, or if debris blocks the outlets, leakage or water backflow can also occur.
  5. Workmanship issues: Taking box-type mobile packing container houses as an example, the joints at both ends of the iron sheet layer on the top of the box need to be sealed with structural adhesive. If the structural adhesive is not applied properly, rainwater will leak through the gaps. If the moisture-proof film is not properly adhered and is not sealed, leakage can also occur.
