Mobile Demountable Toilet
A mobile demountable toilet is a facility that can be moved as a whole, set up in fixed or temporary locations, and provides toilet services to the public while being demountable. The following is an introduction from the aspects of structure, classification, materials, uses, and typical cases:

Structural Composition
A mobile demountable toilet usually consists of modules such as a fecal sewage storage tank (or disposal device), floor slab, sanitary ware, walls, washing equipment, water tank, roof, and mobile device. Each module is independently designed for easy and quick assembly and disassembly. For example, the walls can be made of lightweight materials, and the mobile device can be equipped with a wheeled or hoisting structure according to transportation requirements.
Classification Methods
- By structural form: It is divided into single-unit structures (independent units) and composite structures (multi-unit combinations). The former is suitable for small-scale needs, while the latter can be expanded into large public toilets.
- By mobility method: It includes hoisting and handling types (relying on lifting equipment) and powered towing types (with their own power or towable by vehicles), adapting to different terrains and transportation conditions.
- By sewage treatment method: It covers flush toilets (requiring a water connection), non-flush suction types (relying on vacuum suction), recirculating flush types (sewage purification and reuse), and dry packing types (fecal sealing and collection), meeting the needs of environmental protection and resource utilization.
Material Selection
Commonly used materials include stainless steel (corrosion-resistant and easy to clean), fiberglass (lightweight and high-strength), steel structures (strong load-bearing capacity), color-coated steel (thermal insulation), plastics (low cost), light steel (quick construction), and aluminum-plastic panels (aesthetically pleasing and durable). For example, the upgraded tent-style toilets in the Tiananmen area use stainless steel and aluminum alloys, significantly improving structural stability and service life.
Use Scenarios
They are widely used in temporary events (such as exhibitions and concerts), outdoor operations (such as construction sites and disaster relief), and tourist attractions, addressing toilet needs in short-term or mobile scenarios.
Typical Cases
During the 2025 commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, tent-style toilets were set up around the Great Hall of the People. After the upgrade of the tent-style toilets in the Tiananmen area of Beijing in 2026, barrier-free facilities, intelligent guidance systems, and odor control measures were added. A total of 142 squatting positions, 5 barrier-free toilet positions, and 128 urinal positions were configured, significantly improving the user experience and environmental performance.
