Mobile Caravan Toilet Modification

Admin 26 de septiembre de 2026

There are various ways to modify the toilet in a mobile caravan, and appropriate solutions can be selected according to different needs and caravan types. Here are some common modification methods:

Major modification of the caravan toilet: It adopts a crushing and direct-discharge design. A micro water tank is installed behind the toilet, which directly discharges into the gray water tank. Simply open the valve to empty the waste in the tank, eliminating the hassle of traditional toilet emptying. However, whether imported or domestically produced, this type of toilet is prone to damage, usually due to capacitor failure causing the motor to stop working. To facilitate maintenance, a maintenance window can be installed in the bathroom for easy capacitor replacement.

Modification of the new Transit caravan: A hidden bathroom design can be implemented. By reasonably planning the space, a more comfortable mobile living environment can be created. The hidden bathroom not only saves space but also enhances the overall aesthetics and practicality of the caravan.

Modification of a 13-meter mobile box-type semi-trailer into a mobile toilet: It is modified using a 12.45-meter frame paired with a container. It has 3 axles, a strong saddle load-bearing capacity, a maximum speed of 90 km/h, and a large payload. This modification method is suitable for large caravans or mobile toilet projects. The external dimensions and number of tires can be selected according to actual needs. The main beam is made of lightweight high-strength steel to ensure structural stability.

Comprehensive major modification of the caravan bathroom:

  • Demolition and hole-cutting: First, remove the original bathroom facilities. Due to the narrow space, careful operation is required. Then, cut holes according to the chassis position to prepare for the subsequent installation of facilities such as a squat toilet.
  • Positioning and bracket fabrication: Position the squat toilet to avoid conflicts with the chassis. An electric welder fabricates a stainless-steel bracket according to the drawings to ensure its stability.
  • Base and water pipe connection: Adjust the bracket according to the actual situation and then fabricate a 304 stainless-steel base. Cut small holes at the four corners of the base to allow water to flow directly into the gray water tank. Then, connect the hot and cold water pipes to provide water for the bathroom.
  • Installation and caulking: After connecting the water pipes, install the base, showerhead, and water tank. After installation, perform overall caulking to prevent water leakage.
  • Black water tank and anti-rust treatment: Install a black water tank at the original storage box position directly below the bathroom. After installation, paint it to prevent rust. Also, paint all the brackets after they are made.
  • Bathroom door modification: Weld a stainless-steel slope onto the original door frame so that water flows into the bathroom along the slope. Cut a part of the bottom of the door and attach a soft bristle pad to prevent water from flowing out during showering. After modification, the bathroom is spacious, allowing for the placement of a washing machine and providing a comfortable shower space without the need for a shower curtain.
