Mixed-Structure House and Prefabricated Panel House
A mixed-structure house is not directly equivalent to a prefabricated panel house; there are significant differences between the two in terms of concept, structural form, and design characteristics.

Different Concepts
A mixed-structure house emphasizes that its main load-bearing structure is composed of two or more different materials. A common combination is a frame + brick-concrete structure. This structural form makes full use of the properties of different materials to achieve better load-bearing and architectural performance. For example, the frame structure part can provide larger spaces and better seismic resistance, while the brick-concrete structure part can reduce costs to a certain extent and meet specific architectural requirements.
A prefabricated panel house mainly focuses on the use of prefabricated floor slabs. Generally, prefabricated reinforced concrete floor slabs are used as the main structural material. The prefabricated panels are made in advance in a factory and then transported to the construction site for installation. This construction method can improve construction efficiency and shorten the construction period.
Differences in Structural Forms
Mixed structures are more complex and flexible in terms of material combination and structural design. They can optimize the combination of different materials according to factors such as the specific use of the house, geographical environment, and load requirements. For example, in high-rise buildings, a mixed structure combining a reinforced concrete frame and a steel structure may be adopted to fully utilize the compressive strength of reinforced concrete and the tensile strength of steel.
The structure of a prefabricated panel house is relatively simple and mainly revolves around the prefabricated floor slabs. The prefabricated floor slabs bear the loads on the floor and transfer them to the walls or other supporting structures. Its structural design mainly considers factors such as the specifications and spans of the prefabricated floor slabs and their connection methods with the walls.
Differences in Design Characteristics
The design of a mixed-structure house needs to comprehensively consider the properties of multiple materials and their collaborative work. Designers should reasonably determine the dimensions, shapes, and connection methods of the structure according to the characteristics of different materials to ensure the overall stability and safety of the house. At the same time, requirements for the building's durability, fire resistance, and other aspects should also be taken into account.
The design of a prefabricated panel house focuses on the production and installation of the prefabricated floor slabs. It is necessary to ensure that the quality of the prefabricated floor slabs meets the standards and that the dimensions are accurate for accurate connection during installation. In addition, a reasonable supporting system needs to be designed to ensure that the prefabricated floor slabs do not undergo excessive deformation or damage during use.
