Materials for Mobile Environmental Toilets
The selection of materials for mobile environmental toilets is diverse, requiring a balance of durability, corrosion resistance, portability, and environmental friendliness. Common materials include metals, plastics/composites, and other specialized materials.

Metal Materials
Metal materials serve as the core framework and structural support for mobile environmental toilets. Aluminum alloy, known for its lightweight, high strength, and excellent corrosion resistance, is the mainstream choice for toilet frameworks and skeletons. Its surface can be treated with oxidation or fluorocarbon spraying to form a dense oxide film, effectively isolating moisture and oxygen, resulting in significant rust prevention, especially suitable for humid or rainy environments. Stainless steel is primarily used for internal hardware components (such as water tanks, pipes), door hinges, and exterior finishes, offering extremely strong corrosion resistance to withstand high-salt environments in coastal areas or chemically corrosive locations. Additionally, some mobile toilets employ national standard steel welded frameworks, covered with color-coated steel sheets or carved panels for corrosion and fire resistance, enhanced with galvanized treatment for improved rust prevention, extending service life to over 20 years. In Henan, mobile toilet main structures often utilize galvanized steel pipes or light steel structures, combining rust prevention with load-bearing advantages, capable of withstanding multiple lifts and relocations without deformation.
Plastic/Composite Materials
Plastics and composites, characterized by their lightweight, waterproof, and easy-to-process properties, are widely applied in interior decoration and structural components. PVC panels are common materials for toilet partitions, wall panels, and ceiling panels, offering excellent waterproof and moisture-proof performance, with the ability to print patterns on the surface for enhanced aesthetics, though it is essential to choose products that meet environmental standards to avoid harmful substance emissions. Fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP), composed of resin and glass fibers, approaches the strength of steel while weighing only 1/4 to 1/3 of steel, with corrosion resistance and anti-aging properties, often used in overall structures or shell manufacturing. Sandwich panels (such as color-coated steel sandwich panels or composite panels) are the mainstream material for mobile toilet walls in Henan, featuring color-coated steel or aluminum sheets on both sides with polystyrene, rock wool, or polyurethane foam in the middle, offering both thermal insulation and lightweight advantages.
Other Materials
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) panels, known for their high strength, impact resistance, and UV resistance, are commonly used for toilet bases and exterior decorations, capable of withstanding UV aging and mechanical damage. Rock wool sandwich panels are used for ceilings or partitions, with rock wool filling providing Class A fire resistance, sound insulation, and thermal insulation, suitable for crowded areas. In Henan, mobile toilet interiors often adopt high-density PVC panels or stainless steel panels, with non-slip patterned aluminum plates or rubber floors for the ground to enhance safety. Some high-end versions also incorporate FRP anti-corrosion layers on the chassis to extend service life.
Material selection should be based on usage scenarios (such as coastal, cold, high-humidity areas) and functional requirements (such as fire resistance, sound insulation, portability) to ensure a balance of durability, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness for mobile environmental toilets.
