Longevity Container House

Admin 14 de septiembre de 2026

The longevity container house is a movable, modular building based on containers, formed through modification or custom design. It features fast assembly, low cost, diverse functions, and environmental protection and durability.

1. Structure and Types

Container houses typically have two production and processing techniques:

  • Direct Modification Type: Using shipping containers as prototypes, they are modified through reinforcement, cutting, window opening, installation of doors and windows, and interior decoration to create living or office spaces.
  • Factory Customization Type: In factories, top and bottom frames are prefabricated according to container dimensions. After connecting them with columns, walls are assembled using materials such as color-steel sandwich panels to form standardized modules.

They come in various types, including ordinary dry cargo containers, high-cube containers, refrigerated containers, and double-door containers, meeting different scenario requirements. For example, high-cube containers, with increased height, are suitable for scenarios requiring larger interior spaces; refrigerated containers can be used for special purposes requiring temperature control.

2. Core Advantages

  • Efficiency and Economy: Assembly speed is over 40% faster than traditional buildings, with lower costs. For example, in the Papua New Guinea modular hotel project, the overall construction period was shortened from 14-18 months to 7 months, with significant savings in labor costs.
  • Flexibility and Mobility: No foundation construction is required, allowing for overall relocation or repeated disassembly and assembly, adapting to dynamic needs such as construction site dormitories and temporary offices.
  • Environmental Protection and Durability: Materials are recyclable, generating less construction waste; steel structures are corrosion-resistant, with a service life of 20-30 years, which can be further extended through regular maintenance.
  • Diverse Functions: Through modular combinations, buildings ranging from single-container residences to large-scale structures with hundreds of containers can be constructed, covering various forms such as schools, hospitals, hotels, and villas.

3. Application Scenarios

  • Temporary Buildings: Such as construction site dormitories and mobile home dormitories, solving accommodation problems for construction workers.
  • Social and Living Buildings: Such as container offices, villas, and homestays, meeting personalized living needs.
  • Emergency and Disaster Relief: Rapidly deployable modular units suitable for post-disaster reconstruction or temporary medical facilities.
  • Commercial Spaces: Such as cafes and hotels, creating unique styles through creative design.
