Requirements for Light Container Living Houses

Admin 17 de septiembre de 2026

Light container living houses must meet requirements in architectural design and safety, planning permits, living conditions and hygiene, as well as other aspects.

Architectural Design and Safety Standards: Structural stability is fundamental. These houses need to undergo formal design and renovation to withstand natural forces such as wind and earthquakes, ensuring the safety of occupants. In terms of fire resistance, flame-retardant materials should be used, and effective firefighting equipment and evacuation routes should be provided. For example, foam-colored steel plate materials are flammable, so strict adherence to fire prevention regulations is necessary. Welding near walls is prohibited, fireproof and heat-insulating devices should be installed for winter heating, open flames are not allowed for waterproofing construction, and indoor wires should be protected by metal pipes or fire-resistant material pipes. Ventilation and lighting designs should be reasonable to avoid health issues caused by poor ventilation or insufficient lighting.

Planning Permits and Land Use Nature: Before setting up container houses as accommodation facilities, it is necessary to go through the necessary approval procedures with local construction and planning departments to confirm the land use nature and planning requirements. If special permits, such as temporary building permits, are required, they should be applied for and obtained in advance to ensure compliance with local construction planning and management requirements.

Living Conditions and Hygiene Standards: Container houses should be equipped with facilities that meet basic living needs, such as sanitary facilities (simple toilets, washbasins, etc.), living electricity facilities (wires and sockets that meet safety standards), and necessary storage space. Living conditions should meet basic comfort and hygiene standards, with good ventilation, lighting, and thermal insulation. At the same time, the container houses and their surrounding environment should be kept clean, with regular garbage and waste removal to prevent environmental pollution and disease transmission.

Other Requirements: Colored steel plate containers need to be reinforced with fixing devices to enhance wind resistance. The fixing methods vary in different regions, and fixing bolts should be regularly inspected. Three-tier stacking is prohibited. For two-tier construction, professional structural calculations are required to confirm the load-bearing capacity. Strengthened connectors should be used for fixation, and diagonal braces should be installed. The walls and roofs of containers should be inspected quarterly for rust or deformation and repaired promptly. Heavy objects should not be stacked on the roof, and the single-point load should be controlled within 150kg/m². Indoor ventilation should be maintained to avoid condensation accumulation, and dehumidification equipment should be installed if necessary.
