Lanzhou Marathon Mobile Toilets
Lanzhou Marathon has taken comprehensive and meticulous measures in the configuration of mobile toilets to meet the toilet needs of a large number of participants and spectators during the event.
In the 2023 event, approximately 250 mobile toilets were set up in the main venue and starting area. These mobile toilets were distributed in different locations, with 34 set up beside the sunken plaza and 30 in specific rows. In addition, eco-friendly mobile sanitation toilet vehicles were equipped, each capable of accommodating 5 people. This design not only saves space but also improves usage efficiency, enabling a rapid response to toilet demands during peak visitor flows.
For the 2024 event, the Municipal Urban Management Commission further increased its investment. On the basis of the existing 111 fixed public toilets along the racecourse, 502 additional squat toilets and 32 urinals were installed, significantly increasing the number of toilet facilities. At the same time, 4 mobile public toilets were added in areas such as Nanbinhe Road. These mobile public toilets can be flexibly moved and arranged according to actual needs, further optimizing the layout of toilet facilities.
In addition to the above measures, the Lanzhou Yellow River Scenic Area Administration Committee also contributed to solving the toilet problem. They built a new eco-friendly public toilet, which typically uses eco-friendly materials and technologies, offering advantages such as energy conservation, water conservation, and environmental protection. At the same time, an emergency mobile toilet with 6 toilet stalls was set up to cope with emergencies or areas with particularly high visitor flows. In addition, an old public toilet was renovated to enhance its usability and comfort.
