Laibin Container House Construction

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The construction of container houses in Laibin requires comprehensive consideration of multiple factors, including design, construction, approval, and maintenance.

I. Design Planning The design of container houses should focus on spatial layout and functional zoning. Spatial expansion can be achieved through splicing combinations (e.g., connecting 2-3 containers to form functional areas such as living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms) or staggered stacking (creating spatial hierarchy and improving ventilation and lighting). For small units, it is recommended to use multifunctional furniture such as folding beds and integrated cabinets to enhance space utilization. In terms of lighting, large floor-to-ceiling windows, roof skylights, or glass partitions can be installed; for insulation, internal insulation layers should be added to walls/roofs and triple-glazed windows should be selected; shading can be achieved through roof eaves or terrace awnings. The exterior facade can be beautified with paint spraying, themed murals, or glass curtain walls to break away from the industrial feel.

II. Construction Container houses are steel-structure buildings and require construction by professional teams. The foundation should be an independent pile foundation to prevent moisture and pests and facilitate site leveling. Strict rust prevention treatment is necessary during the construction phase: all cutting and welding incisions must be polished and coated with epoxy primer + topcoat to prevent rusting later. The container body should be installed on supports to avoid direct contact with ground moisture. Sealant should be used around doors and windows, container body joints, and roof gutters, and replaced regularly (every 5-7 years).

III. Approval Procedures If constructing on rural homestead land, building approval must be obtained according to local requirements, and structural drawings stamped by an engineer must be provided; otherwise, it may be deemed an illegal structure. Construction is strictly prohibited on cultivated land and basic farmland, and approval from the forestry department is required for forest land. Leased land can only be used for temporary buildings, and the contract must specify the nature of use.

IV. Post-construction Maintenance The core of maintenance is rust prevention, waterproof sealing, and prevention of condensation. Weld seams, corners, and other rust-prone areas should be inspected annually, and rust spots should be polished and repainted immediately upon discovery; anti-corrosion paint should be reapplied every 8-12 years in inland dry areas, every 7-10 years in southern humid areas, and every 3-5 years in coastal areas. Sealant should be replaced regularly, and roof leaves should be cleared promptly to prevent water accumulation.
