Jinkouhe Modular Container House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

The Jinkouhe modular container house is a building form that disassembles a complete house into standardized modules, prefabricates them in a factory, and then transports them to the site for rapid assembly. It has advantages such as a short construction period, environmental friendliness, controllable quality, and flexible disassembly and recycling.

Construction Mode and Production Process

Modular container houses divide the entire building into independent modules. All processes, including the main structure, water and electricity pipelines, and interior decoration (such as bathroom waterproofing, bathroom equipment, cabinets, and wardrobes), are completed in the factory. Then, they are transported to the project site and assembled like building blocks. For example, a smart factory in Guangdong uses a fully automated production line to disassemble a house into six components: the bottom, top, and four sides. These components are produced simultaneously on multiple sub-production lines and finally assembled into a complete box at the end of the production line. The daily production capacity can reach 50 modules, with a stable manufacturing accuracy controlled within 1-2 millimeters.

Core Advantages

  1. Short Construction Period: Compared with traditional construction methods, modular buildings can shorten the construction period by more than 50%. For example, in a hotel project in Papua New Guinea, traditional construction would take 14-18 months, while the modular solution only took 7 months (including domestic production, sea transportation, and on-site assembly).
  2. Environmental Friendliness: Standardized factory production reduces the building material loss rate from 8%-12% at traditional construction sites to 3%-5%, and reduces construction waste by more than 80% (for example, the construction waste during the demolition stage of a recyclable container house is only 1.2 kg/㎡, far lower than the 27 kg/㎡ of traditional brick-and-mortar temporary buildings).
  3. Controllable Quality: Factory assembly-line operations eliminate on-site construction errors. The lightweight design of steel structure modules can reduce the consumption of foundation and main structure materials by 60%-70%.
  4. Flexible Disassembly and Recycling: The modular design supports repeated disassembly and turnover, making it suitable for scenarios such as construction site temporary buildings and emergency housing, with lower long-term operation and maintenance costs.

Application Scenarios and Product Types

Modular container houses come in various forms, including steel structure cabins, container houses, and high-tech space capsules. They are widely used in temporary resettlement, tourist homestays, commercial pop-ups, overseas engineering camps, as well as permanent residences and schools. Common products include packing-box container houses (hot-dip galvanized cold-formed steel frame + fire-resistant polyurethane sandwich panels), light steel keel houses (cold-formed thin-walled light steel keels + insulation material filling), and functional sentry boxes (customizable in size and layout).

Industry Trends and Market Recognition

China's modular building exports have shown significant growth. In the first quarter of 2026, the export growth rate of prefabricated buildings reached 45%, with products shipped to more than 150 countries and regions. The penetration rate of container houses in domestic construction site temporary buildings has increased from 37% in 2020 to 72% in 2025, becoming the mainstream solution for temporary facilities. More than 68% of engineering contractors list it as a priority option.
