Mobile Toilets in Jitan Town

Admin 08 de octubre de 2026

Currently, no information on 'mobile toilets' in Jitan Town has been found, but it is known that Jitan Town has promoted the conversion of dry toilets to water-flush toilets in rural areas. Here is a detailed introduction to the toilet renovation situation in Jitan Town:

Specific Forms of the Dry-to-Water Conversion Project

In some villages of Jitan Town, such as Diaoti Village, new water-flush toilets have been built. These toilets consist of an indoor squat toilet, a foot-operated flush tank, and an outdoor three-chamber tank-type septic tank. The indoor squat toilet conforms to people's daily usage habits and is convenient and hygienic. The foot-operated flush tank enables flushing through foot operation, avoiding hand contact with the flushing device and reducing the possibility of bacterial transmission, making it more hygienic and safe. The outdoor three-chamber tank-type septic tank is the key facility for the harmless treatment of feces. In the first chamber, feces undergo sedimentation and fermentation, decomposing some organic matter. In the second chamber, further sedimentation and anaerobic fermentation occur, killing parasite eggs and pathogens. The third chamber stores the relatively harmless fecal liquid after treatment, which can be used for farmland fertilization, achieving resource recycling.

Promotion Method

Jitan Town has adopted the 'four discussions and two public disclosures' work method to promote the construction of dry-to-water-flush toilets. 'Four discussions' refer to proposals by the Party branch committee, deliberations by the 'two committees' (Party branch committee and village committee), reviews by the Party member congress, and resolutions by the villagers' representative congress or villagers' congress. 'Two public disclosures' mean the disclosure of resolutions and the disclosure of implementation results. This approach fully respects the villagers' wishes, right to know, and right to participate, allowing villagers to be involved in the decision-making process of toilet renovation and improving their enthusiasm and support for toilet renovation. At the same time, by taking the approach of leading by example, some villages or farmers with good renovation results are selected as examples for publicity and promotion, enabling other villagers to see the actual benefits brought by toilet renovation and thus stimulating their enthusiasm for participation.

Renovation Results

As of now, 1,300 dry-to-water-flush toilets have been built in Jitan Town. The completion of these toilets has effectively improved the rural sanitation environment, reduced the breeding of mosquitoes and flies and pathogens in dry toilets, lowered the incidence of intestinal infectious diseases and other diseases, and improved the villagers' quality of life and health level.
