Japanese Mobile Toilet Design Renderings

Admin 20 de septiembre de 2026

Currently, there are no publicly available design renderings of Japanese mobile toilets, but there are two typical portable toilet designs in Japan that can serve as references.

"Pocket Toilet"

The "Pocket Toilet" is an extremely compact and portable toilet design, small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. It consists of multiple components, including a bag capable of holding 1000ml, which is the key container for collecting waste; a coagulant that accelerates the solidification of waste, reducing odor emission and liquid leakage; a deodorant that effectively removes odors, enhancing the user experience; an odor-proof bag for storing used bags to prevent odor diffusion; and hand sanitizer for convenient hand cleaning after use.

When using it, you first need to find a toilet stand and place the "Pocket Toilet" on it. If there is no stand, you can also unfold the bag and use it as a squat toilet. After throwing materials like deodorant into the bag, fold the bag and place it in the odor-proof bag. This design is highly suitable for emergency situations or outdoor activities. For example, after natural disasters when infrastructure is damaged and public toilets are not functioning properly, the "Pocket Toilet" can play a crucial role in providing basic sanitation facilities for people.

"Portable Toilet" Designed by Oki Sato

The "Portable Toilet" designed by Oki Sato consists of six parts. Four aluminum tubes are the main components of the support structure, a C-shaped seat provides sitting support, a tent offers privacy protection, and tissues, garbage bags, and coagulants are key items for ensuring hygiene and facilitating easy cleanup.

This portable toilet can fit into a handbag, making it easy to carry. When using it, first insert the aluminum tubes under the C-shaped seat. If there are no aluminum tubes, you can also use four mineral water bottles filled with water or sand as an alternative. Then, put on the garbage bag and it is ready for normal use. The C-shaped seat has small holes where aluminum tubes can be inserted to fix an opened umbrella, further enhancing privacy protection, and then put on the tent. The tent is made of nylon fabric and can also be worn as a cloak in normal times. The gray handbag is made of waterproof material and can be used as a water bag in addition to holding components, with a maximum capacity of 16 liters. This design not only considers the convenience of use but also incorporates multiple functions, making it suitable for outdoor travel, camping, and other scenarios.
