Insulated Container House

Admin 15 de septiembre de 2026

An insulated container house uses a container as its basic structural unit, featuring good thermal insulation performance through modular design and industrial production, making it a mobile house. The following is an introduction from the aspects of design principles, structural characteristics, performance, and selection considerations:

Design Principles

The core of the design of an insulated container house lies in transforming the rigid structure of traditional containers and integrating living functions and aesthetic elements. It usually adopts a curved or rounded exterior design, which is different from the traditional square containers. This design not only enhances visual appeal but also optimizes wind resistance and drainage performance.

Structural Characteristics

With a steel frame as the skeleton, it provides a stable supporting structure for the house. The interior and exterior wall panels are made of thermal insulation materials such as rock wool or polyurethane, effectively preventing heat transfer. At the same time, it reserves interfaces for doors, windows, and water and electricity pipelines. All components are prefabricated in the factory, and only lifting and simple connections are required on-site for use, greatly shortening the construction period and reducing interference with the on-site environment.

Performance

  • Thermal Insulation: The wall is filled with high-density insulation materials and is equipped with a moisture-proof layer and a ventilation layer, forming a multi-layer protective system. In extremely cold environments, it can still maintain a comfortable indoor temperature with the help of auxiliary heating equipment; in high-temperature environments, it can effectively reduce the indoor temperature through reflective coatings and ventilation design.
  • Wind Resistance: The steel structural frame is calculated and reinforced to withstand the impact of high wind speeds, meeting the usage requirements in most natural scenarios.

Selection Considerations

  • Properties of Enclosure Structure Materials: The density and thickness of the sandwich panels directly determine the insulation effect. Generally, products with lower thermal conductivity have stronger insulation capabilities.
  • Jointing Process: If there are gaps at the joints of the panels, a cold bridge effect can easily occur, significantly reducing the overall insulation performance. Excellent sealing processes can minimize the impact of gaps.
  • Overall Structural Tightness: The fit between doors, windows, and frames, as well as the sealing treatment at corners, will affect the insulation effect.
